lovely shop, lovely care for customers! 12/20/2010

i went to the store to pick out fabrics for a quilt. marie, one of the owners, i think, spent 30 minutes with me as i played with a number of different color combination. when i finally landed on a fabric that i wanted, it happened to be an old fabric that was no longer available. she not only looked online to see where else i could purchase it, but she offered me a pair of baby pants that she had sewn out of the material so that i could use the fabric for a few pieces on my quilt. incredible service. thank you! more

Great little local fabric shop 5/15/2008

I went here looking for a few fabrics to make a baby blanket. The selection is amazing for it being in a relatively small space. It was like the owners went to one of those giant fabric stores and picked out the very best cottons and brought them all here so I wouldn't have to search for hours and hours. The con is that I wish they had some other types of materials so I wouldn't ever have to go back to the huge stores again!! Great store. Friendly and helpful staff. Please go there so they stick around for a long time! Pros: Staff, selection of cottons, atmosphere Cons: Only cottons more

Friendly people, lovely selection, great location 5/5/2008

I love this store. The staff are lovely and friendly. The fabrics are hip and not cheesy. The store is beautiful, well lit, and nicely displayed. more

Friendly, affordable, and AWESOME 5/7/2007

It's obvious from the outside that this converted home is more cozy and enjoyable than your average fabric store, but what's not obvious is that the prices are reasonable I hesitated going in at first, thinking my tight budget put a neighborhood boutique shop out of my range - but their prices were the same as I'd seen at the larger suburban shops that same week. An added bonus is that you'll save hours of browsing through tacky fabrics to find the few stylish options - Cool Cottons' selection is large enough to provide you with lots of fantastic and diverse possibilities, but small enough that they can't afford to waste space on the poorly printed teddy-bear-speckled discount fabrics that seem to fill other stores. On top of that, the owners are really nice. I'm very pleased to have this store in my neighborhood! Pros: good selection, lovely environment, friendly owners, decent prices Cons: just cottons (you'll have to go elsewhere for your silk charmeuse) more

""Wow"" in every room 3/25/2007

I've shopped in many fabric/quilt shops and none of them have the ""pizazz"" that cool cottons has! The fabrics are eye-catching, bright and contemporary. The home that they have converted is warm and inviting. The owners, Pamela and Marie, are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about quilting, sewing, and home decorating. Pros: The owners & the building Cons: None! more

Best customer service, beautiful fabrics 3/23/2007

Owners of this shop are enthusiastic, willing to help, lots of fun, and very knowledgeable. They carry the most beautiful fabrics. If you are a quilter or like sew home deco, this is definitely the place to be. Pros: Customer Service. Fabrics. Ambience. more
