I called about boot repair. Was told to bring them in that evening and he would be there until 7. I showed up at 6 and waited while the employee helped the lady in front of me. Apparently she had dropped off shoes 3 weeks prior for a strap to be restitched. The shoes were still sitting on the repair table and hadn't been touched. When it was my turn, I was told the "shoe guy" had left early. When I called the next day, I told him I showed up the night before and his reply, "Oh, yeah." No explanation. I probed and he said he had "run out of work to do". That's funny... that other lady's shoes have been there for weeks! Don't take your work there. He never even apologized for me driving an extra hour out of my way to arrive and find him not there... when I had spoken to him only 2 hours before. more

How I wish I would have looked for reviews on this place before going, but I was in a bind and needed a job done quickly and close to home. I brought a pair of ballroom dance shoes here that needed new insoles due to wear. The worn area was very rough and needed to be covered to avoid irritating my feet. I was shown a precut insole and tried it on with the shoe, felt good, right size but wrong color. Cobbler promised to look into getting in in black or he could cut some black leather that he showed me. I specifically pointed out that the leather he had on hand was too thin to cover the problem on in the insole, and if he couldn't get the insole in black, use the white. Yet when I picked up the shoes he had used that very same thin leather. I tried them, was dissatisfied and brought them back the next day to be told that the insoles I originally looked at were not there anymore and all that can be done for me is to cover it with moleskin. He did that and it looks terrible and the shoes do not match. I'm highly disappointed and mad at myself for ever paying for the original job in the 1st place. I'm going to ask for a refund. Took my pants in to have the fastener repaired. My wife went to pick them up, and they could n0t find my pants. They said they would call by Friday to let me kmow what they were going to do. No call on Friday. No call on Monday. Had to call Tuesday to follow up. Said they still had not found my pants, but were still looking. Owner would call later that day. No call from owner. I finally went down there and said something needed to be done. Owner said he would pay for my pants, but I had to provide original receipt. I had to go home and find receipt. Took receipt back for Paul. Paul had left the shop for the day. I left receipt ans told them to mail my check. One week later, no check so I called Paul. He promised check would be mailed that day. Paul called later that day to tell me they had found my pants, 5 WEEKS LATER! Terrible. Shop unorganized. Clutter everywhere. No wonder they lost the pants! more
