Great Rehabilitation 4/18/2012

This skilled nursing place was great. My mother needed rehabilitation and her doctor recommended Consulate. I was hesistant because of rumors but he assured me it was a good place. Well, they provided excellant nursing and physical therapy services to my mother. The great service started in admissions with Karen who has a wealth of information and helped with every detail, Rommel the director of nursing was outstanding,,,he checked on my mother daily. Everyone was so helpful and best of all my mother recovered from her illness with the great staff and doctors at Consulate. If rehab is ever needed again this is the place to be. Thank you Consulate Staff. more

Horrible Place, Horrible staff 2/17/2011

This is a horrible place to bring a loved one, The staff is horrible with their attitude and I plainly saw Donald Simmons ( Activities) outside smoking marijuana and piling on extra cologne that makes everyone nauseas to hide the fact, when told to Administration, they said they would take care of it, he still works there...Brian harris who works in the kitchen brought my mom a molded sandwich after they forgot her lunch and then proceeded to tell me to take it up with the dietary manager and that they could not make her anything else because they had to put a food order in....this employee also reeked of B.O. and I couldnt even stand to talk to him anymore because th esmell that was eminating from his meth mouth was that of rotten teeth and dried on food...do they just hire anyone off the streets?? Ive had several run ins with th ekitchen staff and when Ive tried to rememdy the situation in which they gave my mom something she was allergic to, I found them all outside smoking for an hour! I brought my mom home very soon after with home health and shes doing great and I have piece of mind. There were SO many incidents here that I cannot possibly list them all, please do not bring your loved ones here, its a disgusting place. more

I just would like to react on the vivid memory from the writer of "" a place from hell."" It seemed that of the two days stay of that place she only managed to unearth a hell-ful of negatives from the place. I do wonder though how she manages her home, her family, and househole. People like thisusually are the once who are likely to be a dump and try to dislace their dirty nature to others. They are not able to care for their elderly and instead of being grateful to the caregivers, they actually ressent them for being an image of what they are not capable of. These people cannot be pleased. They compalain about everything they can hold on to under the sun: food, physical aspects, security, operations, and so on and so forth. I just wish this people wake up, take good care of their love ones the way they are suppose to, and CLEAN their place. THEN, they will forego in using their mouthy when their hands got actually busy. GET lost of that holier than Thou attitude BABY, and STOP acting like a child. They gave your nature away when your story doesnt make sense. Pros: To be determined Cons: To be determined more

horror from hell in this facility and the state needs to investigate....now before someone is injuried 12/11/2008

At this time I would not recommend this facility to anyone in need. We had my mom in there for approx 2 days and it was a nightmare. The first thing was the sheets were being taken off the bed and there was dead scales of skin on the matress and when house keeping ws called and they looked it was like what is that? I state dead scales on skin and look as I shaked out the sheets there was more coming off there. \r Next incident was : mom had several accidents in the bathroom and the CNA who does most of dirty work wipe the floor and flushed the toilet but they left stuff on the seat. Then after complaining several times they brought house keeping in their to clean up. The lady was very imbarrased that she was not called sooner and then saniftized the whole area to include under the bed and the whole bathroom. The next day after mom was complaining still about the food and not enough responding to call bells faster she was being transferred to a new facility but they were not informed yet at the next incident. But this last one was really gross:They forgot her junch at 1:00 pm and approx 2:30 pm they finally brought her a sandwich from the kitchen. The date is written on in black magic marker too. It was now the 30 and it was dated on the wrapper as the 20th Nov. Mom thought it was balogna and when I opened it ...it was actually cured ham with mold and smelled bad, moss growing on it. Also the first nite she was there which was only 2 nites we were leaving and accidentally my friend pushed the black button on the door handle and it set an alarm off. After we shut the door the alarm was telling the staff that someone got out the door that should not be outside. The doors locked down and if that had been a patient they would have been locked outside for approx 45/ the reason we know is because we waited at the door to tell them we did it. The remark from employee was that door does that all the time it was no big thing it is like a short or something. Happens more
