Fun to shop BUT CONSIGNERS BEWARE 5/3/2012

This is a crummy place to consign. I left a large number of very nice smaller items a while back and have still not been paid for them, because the staff says they have not been marked as sold on my sheet. If I want to take them back, I must find them myself. I can't find any of the items in the store, but the staff insists that they must still be there. Then they just shrug their shoulders and walk away. So I basically gave these things away. CONSIGNERS BEWARE. more

A shop if you are in the neighborhood. Friendly staff. But don't drive all the way from D.C. for this...not as big as a store as one said above. There are NOT a 1000 shops, more like 20. Limited parking. Pros: prices Cons: small more

best consignment EVER! 6/25/2008

My mother introduced me to CC and every time I go there, I am bound to leave with something. The employees are very customer service orientated and are there to help you. I have seen a lot of happy people leave that store with their consigned purchases! I will always shop here and I highly recommend it! Worth the 25 mile drive!!!!! Pros: VERY customer orientated employees more

Love it! 9/19/2007

What a fun place to shop and sell at..Yeah they price stuff low (which is great for the buyers) because they have to sell fast..they have 1000's of consignors..and I'm thankful for that...we all have multitudes of stuff..you either want to get rid of it or you don't. They work hard to make both buyers and sellers happy. You can't expect them to price stuff retail for the stuff would sit forever. It's obviously a great place which is why the parking lot is ALWAYS full. The atmosphere is always friendly...they know most people by name..how often do you find that? I make sure and look at everything because they always have something to make my day.\r The only thing I don't like is they put stuff on hold for people..Noone likes to see something great that can't be bought because someone is out there thinking about whether they want it or not...I'm ready to pay CASH NOW...! I say they do away with that policy.\r But never the less I shop there weekly and look forward to it. Pros: Great deals..wide variety of unique and valuable stuff... Cons: Items held for unsure buyers. more

Fantastic place to spend your day shopping for bargains 3/14/2007

This is THE BEST shopping spot in Richmond! I live over 3 hours away and discovered it through a friend 3 years ago. Since then I have increased my visits to Richmond just so I have the excuse to ""shop until I drop"" at the Consignment Connection. The staff are always freindly and helpful. They make you feel welcome as they buzz around helping customers with questions, and arranging beautiful mini scenes of furniture, accessories and assorted decorating items. They constantly have consigners bringing in new items to be sold, so the shop has a quick turnover. They have become more and more upscale each year, yet their prices are still surprisingly low. If you want a true jewel of a bargain that's where you will find it. They have several rooms that are chocked full of great things; from a dish room with tons of glassware; a garden room with lots of fun items; a kitchen loaded with everything you could imagine; a book room with childrens books, cookbooks, best sellers, biographys, cds, dvds, jewlery; and several other rooms just full of furniture stacked and set up in neat scenes that would put decor books to shame, art work, art glass, and lots more. I always manage to come home with things for everyone in the family and my friends too. The turn over is amazing too, I have shopped the front room, looked through the other rooms, and by the time I got back to the front room it was totally different, and I have found myself staying just a few more minutes so I wouldn't miss that special bargain hiding in the new arrangement. If you want a great place to visit and leisurely shop, you can spend a few hours at the Consignment Connection. I have never come out of the shop empty handed, and am always thrilled with my new found treasures. Just make sure you allow time to shop, this is no 15 minute swing by, you'll really want to take your time and enjoy the walk through thrifting paradise. Pros: Upscale items on a working person's budget. Cons: Sometimes the parking lot is full, but worth a short walk/wait. more

Best Consignment Shop in Richmond & Execellent Customer Service 3/13/2007

This is really one fantastic shop of consignments. I've shopped here for around four years and it just keeps getting better. The parking is limited during the week, but improved on weekends. The place is constantly busy with shoppers and consigners. The owners and employees know their trade and provide excellent customer serivce. Just wish more shops in the Richmond area were nearly as welcoming. The shop is huge inside, looks smaller on the outside. They accept consignments every day that they are opened which is Tuesday through Saturday, so new consignments are constantly arriving. On the weekend the front porch stays busy with new deliveries and often the furniture is sold before it ever makes it inside of the shop. I love the way they change the rooms decorations to accommodate the new consignment and I'm always coming home with new decorating ideas for my place. This place is a must on any shoppers list. I can't visit without finding some new treasure, whether its a rug, new artwork, a piece of furniture, or glassware. This shop on Lakeside Ave is definitely a must see. All of my friends agree with me on this one. Pros: Best consignments at affordable prices. Cons: Limited parking during the week, but worth the wait to get a space. more

Consigners beware 3/28/2006

If you are looking for a place to consign you items, look elseware!! The information giving when I first started bringing items in was to make your own item numbers and price everything. I was asked if they could reprice items if they thought I had either to high or too low of a price. I said sure, not realizing they would change all my prices. After a few weeks I was told to stop putting my own item numbers on as they had their own system. I keep my own files and can now not figure what items were sold and for how much. The sheet that I recieved with my check was completely unuseful to me. I still had no idea what sold. I am pulling all remaining items from this store. more
