This is THE BEST shopping spot in Richmond! I live over 3 hours away and discovered it through a friend 3 years ago. Since then I have increased my visits to Richmond just so I have the excuse to ""shop until I drop"" at the Consignment Connection. The staff are always freindly and helpful. They make you feel welcome as they buzz around helping customers with questions, and arranging beautiful mini scenes of furniture, accessories and assorted decorating items. They constantly have consigners bringing in new items to be sold, so the shop has a quick turnover. They have become more and more upscale each year, yet their prices are still surprisingly low. If you want a true jewel of a bargain that's where you will find it. They have several rooms that are chocked full of great things; from a dish room with tons of glassware; a garden room with lots of fun items; a kitchen loaded with everything you could imagine; a book room with childrens books, cookbooks, best sellers, biographys, cds, dvds, jewlery; and several other rooms just full of furniture stacked and set up in neat scenes that would put decor books to shame, art work, art glass, and lots more. I always manage to come home with things for everyone in the family and my friends too. The turn over is amazing too, I have shopped the front room, looked through the other rooms, and by the time I got back to the front room it was totally different, and I have found myself staying just a few more minutes so I wouldn't miss that special bargain hiding in the new arrangement. If you want a great place to visit and leisurely shop, you can spend a few hours at the Consignment Connection. I have never come out of the shop empty handed, and am always thrilled with my new found treasures. Just make sure you allow time to shop, this is no 15 minute swing by, you'll really want to take your time and enjoy the walk through thrifting paradise.
Pros: Upscale items on a working person's budget.
Cons: Sometimes the parking lot is full, but worth a short walk/wait.
