This computer store is #1 on Purdue's campus and in Tippecanoe county. I personally thought I had a major problem with my laptop but after a quick telephone consultation the service representative explained to me I really dont have a major problem, and service wouldnt be "cost effective." Where on earth would somebody tell you the truth and actually help you? At computers by campus. The computer store by food mart very near by is a COMPLETE RIPOFF! That computer store didnt even have a basic cable I was looking for when I was first setting up my printer. They told me they would have to order it, and I would have to pay for the fee, I then went to Computers By Campus and they sold me the same cable for 6 dollars. They have been in that location for over 20 years, and arent looking to jip people. They want to help. Computers by Campus is the best computer store in the area. Go in and find out yourself, just like I did. more

The anti Big-box store 9/2/2005

Computers by Campus is the best plase to go for computer hardware that is not carried by a large chain store. Try getting a selection cpu's or thermal grease at the chain store. On top of that, the staff is very knowledgable, which is refreshing compared to big stores. Prices are a little higher than a chain electronics store (if you compare products that both have), but it is well worth it. PROS: hard to find hardware CONS: more

Good place, people who know their stuff 9/2/2005

It's always a pleasure to deal with people who know what they are doing. Computers by Campus is just a place where you'd go to find them. They have lots of parts in store that youd have trouble finding elsewhere (a case for a laptops hard drive, anyone?), even though the prices can be a little higher then in chain stores. But then, its worth the money saves the bother. To top it off, its close to campus, so a Purdue student can get there in no time at all.
