I had just moved to Nashville & was completely isolated with no internet connection, nor phone service.I wanted to get internet but I didn't have a land line or cable set up. So I busted out the yellow pages and let my fingers do the walking. I called all the places listed in the front of the phone book for cheap phone service so that I could, in turn, get with a cheap internet connection. Every land line phone company I called was a rip off, expensive and I'd have a waiting period, then, on top of that I was going to have to find an internet service that wasn't going to cost me an arm and a leg, too. I remembered I had passed by a place called the COMPUTER HOUSE earlier that day. I thought maybe they had an answer to my plight. I called them and the employee was very friendly, professional and helpful; he had an answer!! I rode down the street to 2218 8th Ave. S to the COMPUTER HOUSE and he told me about a service they have called, CLEARWIRE, an internet connection that plugs into your computer with a modem and in two seconds:you're online! No Land Line needed! I got the modem, signed up for Clear Wire, came home, plugged it in and there I was: CONNECTED IMMEDIATELY! A week later I thought I may get a phone since I was missing my boyfriend so badly so, I called the Computer House at 463-8066, and they solved another problem..in a manner just as inexpensively. I now have VOiP phone service through Clearwire, featuring UNLIMITED local & long-distance calls for one price, & some International calls are FREE. I have call waiting, call fwd., call-block, voice mail & msgs. can be stored in my e mail as a wav file. After I plugged the phone modem in, I was talking on a real phone through the internet immediately. The COMPUTER HOUSE is a great store that services computers for a flat rate and sells great products, offers Clearwire and more! The owner & staff are super! I'd recommend the Computer HOUSE to EVERYONE! I give them a 5 Star Rating!
Pros: friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great prices. Honest business out to serve public not to rip them off
Cons: The Computer House needs more advertisement.
