Complete Music

Complete Music was one of my favorite vendors at my company holiday party. They provided a great platform for creating a playlist and event pre-planning. The DJ understood what our event guests wanted and the night of the party he was right on target. He truly made my party a hit! He covered everything everyone wanted to hear! They also were very professional and offered great service deals. Kudos to DJ Andrew and thanks a bunch! more

Complete Music was great to work with! My venue, Vista West Ranch, assigned them to me a couple of months before our wedding. I was immediately contacted and asked to fill out a form that had me to list all of the important songs that I wanted them to play- from the processional, to the first dance to the cake cutting, etc. It really helped me figure out exactly what we wanted them to play during those important moments. As it got closer to our wedding we were contacted by our actual DJ Joey. He followed up on the form that I had previously filled out and asked me to go over the other type of music that I wanted him to play. Since I couldn't decide exactly which songs I wanted him to play he asked me to send him a list of songs/artists that we loved and had me break it down into songs to play before the ceremony, during the cocktail hour, during dinner and then for dancing. We were very happy with the way our music turned out. Joey did a great job of reading the crowd!!! The only thing that went wrong was our officiant's microphone was a little scratchy during the ceremony. I would suggest if that happens in the future to just turn the microphone off versus keeping it on and having the scratchy noise continue. Joey and Complete Music would wonderful for us to work with! I would highly recommend working with them if you are looking for a DJ who is flexible and willing to tailor your music to exactly what you want! Stay away from this company! The DJ was unprofessional and disorganized. First, he was supposed to play a specific song after the ceremony was over when the grooms,bridesmaids, bride and groom walked off. He played the wrong music and then yelled over to the wedding party. ""what's the name of the music?"" He should have played the music right after he was told, it was taken him a while. Everyone was getting restless. Then finally the bride yells over her guests to the DJ play anything. Imagine her embarrassment. Th DJ should already have that song downloaded and ready to play. He didn't play music during the garter toss. He played the wrong music for the bride and groom first dance. All around the DJ was horrible. He ruin the most important day of my friend's wedding. She called the company to tell them what happened. They were not really sympathetic. She still had to pay. more

I'm not even the bride or the groom, just one of the bridesmaids, but I had to write a review so that others would know this business is completely unprofessional and incompetent. It seems that if your sole service is to provide music for an event, then a business could at least follow through on playing the correct music on queue. Imagine the surprise the bridal party experienced during the ceremony recessional when the DJ did not play the correct song. It was so awkward standing there looking at the DJ as he continued to fumble around with finding the correct song (played the wrong song 3Xs) and then him screaming across asking ""what song was it again?"". We were standing there for quite a while (my guess was that he was trying to download it from iTunes) before the bride finally had to scream across her guests during the wedding ceremony ""just play a song!"". Seriously? How many events have they DJed? Also this guy was standing around the dance floor and didn't even play a song during the garter toss. When my friend finally asked him to play something, or at least sing something he replied with, ""sorry I don't do that"". Apparently he doesn't play music either. This business evidently does not know what they are doing. Others should steer clear and be warned. more

think to say that I am extremely displeased by Complete Music & Video's performance would be an understatement. I was in the wedding party and also acted as the day of coordinator for my friend's wedding so I experienced first hand how poorly the event was handled. Complete Music specifically touts their professionalism and customer service but I would have to strongly disagree with the company's claim. My impression was that the DJ had not prepared sufficiently for my best friend's wedding in Austin at the end of August. 1) When the DJ arrived to setup for the wedding, he asked the venue manager for a timeline of the reception. This struck me as odd since he should have had the timeline well before the event. The wedding's timeline was pretty straight forward but for reasons I don't quite understand --- everything IMPORTANT and associated with the DJ service seemed to go out the window. 2) My friend and her husband had selected a very specific song for the exit from their nuptial ceremony. The DJ did not play the song on queue. When he did start song it was the WRONG song. He fumbled around for a couple of minutes and then started the SAME INCORRECT song again. Of course at this point the bride was a bit exasperated so she told him to play a different song so she could get her guests out of the 100 degree heat. 3) Timing for toasts and people's titles during the reception were choppy and inaccurate. I would NEVER recommend this DJ service because I believe that Weddings are one of the most important memories that people will remember during their lifetimes. Granted, things may not always go as planned but it is the job of the vendors to PREPARE and be able to ADJUST course when a roadblock appears. I do not believe that Complete Music was prepared or able to adjust. Basically the service sticks out as a relatively big sore spot on hectic but successful wedding day. more

Complete Music RUINED MY WEDDING!!! This was the WORST DJ service EVER. My wedding was held at the Vintage Villas last week and I had no choice to go with their preferred DJ service which is Complete Music otherwise they'd charge me $500 to go with someone else. That's NOT much of a choice is it. Anyway, I logged in and spent about 2 hours on the event planner page. Then one month before the wedding I could not logged on to update it anymore. I called Scott the manager and he said he fixed it but when I tried to get back on it still wouldn't let me. I then met with the DJ, Dustin, to go over the details. I told him about the site and he said he's tell Scott to fix it and the he'll get the event plan from him as well. At this point I was pretty busy with other wedding details so I didn't follow up thinking that they'd just do their job correctly since they are supposedly the #1 DJ service. Dustin literally RUINED my wedding. I paid complete music $900 to come and ruin my wedding. Dustin's ONLY job is to play the correct song at the correct time but he didn't do any of it. We had a special exit song that we wanted played but he played the wrong song at first and made me and my guest wait an extra 15 minutes in the scorching heat (110 degrees that day). Then he yelled across the ceremony asking what song I wanted to be played. I responded with the song title and artist and he continued to play the wrong song. Then I was fed up of waiting and I felt bad for my guests and told him to just play any song. Afterwards he said that he had the song but it wouldn't play. If this was truly the case then he wouldn't have yelled across asking us what song we wanted played. Side note, I called him that morning to ask him if he knew the song and that I wanted the first 40 seconds looped and he said he got it. He was suppose to be there 2 hours before the ceremony to set up and if he tried it and it didn't work he should have contacted me or someone from the wedding and then we could have helped him correct it but he did not do that. To make things worst he messed up everything else through out the night. It was clear that he did not read the event planner that took me two hours to fill out. He didn't get any of the titles for my wedding party announcement correct. He didn't control the crowd properly and he didn't even mix the songs through out the night. He was missing from his booth the majority of the time and my husband caught him crying outside for a part of the night. He got the order of the dances wrong, and played our first dance song without notice and so we started late. He didn't play any music during the garter toss and my husband had to stand there like an idiot without any music. EVERYONE at my wedding complained to me about this guy and said that it was the WORST part of my wedding. I am really angry and I can never get my day back. Overall, they were the WORST DJ service I have ever experienced. If I wanted some one to ruin my wedding I had plenty of people that would come and do it for free. In the end my relentless complaining got me $450 back but know that I paid $450 to these people pains me. If I had to do it all over again I'd pay the extra $500 to hire my own people that I KNOW would do a great job. I am still ANGRY and BITTER because they didn't give me a full refund which I believe was totally warranted. more

Complete Music & Video was amazing to work with! Tara was so helpful in choosing songs to play and those to omit. I had a hard time describing the overall feel we wanted at the wedding and somehow through all my rambling she managed to pick songs that portrayed it exactly. She was energetic and got people out on the dance floor, but wasn't at all overbearing like some DJs can be. A few ice-breakers throughout the night helped keep things going and the rest of the time it was a great mix between newer and older dance songs. They also did my ceremony music and did a fantastic job fading things in and out and timing them perfectly. I have absolutely no complaints about Complete Music and would highly recommend them to anyone! more
