Best

Love this place - easy to get appointments, friendly and knowledgeable vets, great staff. Today I had an appointment for one of my cats and I brought the other one in at the last...

Worst

INHUMANE MONSTERS!!!! Never take your animals here if they have to be put to sleep. Just to clarify, I am an animal lover who will sit for months to try and nurse an animal back...

Amazing 11/29/2010

I would not take my pets anywhere else. this is the most professional place i've ever been. all the doctors are great. i took a pup for parvo and he made it because of the wonderful treatment. and i'm currently taking my little pitbull for all her needs. i highly recommend this place to everyone. more

Horrible and Cruel 8/10/2010

INHUMANE MONSTERS!!!! Never take your animals here if they have to be put to sleep. Just to clarify, I am an animal lover who will sit for months to try and nurse an animal back to health, and having an animal put down should only be resorted to when the animal is in severe pain. Most of my pets/ friends have passed away naturally.\r \r But there were two cases where I did take my animals here to be put down here. Both times they only gave my animals one injection, the death mixture, and in both cases my animals (a dog-17 and cat-21 who were completely incapacitated from old age, weakness and pain) bucked and fought to get up while the mixture was pumped through their veins.\r \r I just recently had to have another animal put down (she was dying naturally, but she began to cry out in pain and after several hours of this, it was too much to bear), so I took her into our regular vet (Dean Watanabe- truly amazing animal lover). He administered a numbing injection first, waited a couple o more

I really like one policy of this practice, which is to ask in a written form at the very beginning how much $ and effort should be spent on each pet. (I'm putting this wrong, but you get the idea.) \r \r When I first filled this out, I was so grateful, having just been taken for well over $1000 at another Altadena vet's for my cats' ear mites--EAR MITES! and one of the cats was a stray I had adopted with feline AIDS! This was far more than I could afford. more

Would never go elsewhere 9/28/2005

Even though it's a little drive from our house... I would never consider taking my dogs to another doctor. Everyone here genuinely cares about the animals and moms and dads of the pets. I have had amazing expericences with community animal hospital for almost 20 years now. They have treated our dogs so wonderfully, and i just can't say enough about them. I love it here and wouldn't think of taking my dog ANYWHERE else. PROS: great staff, clean, friendly, accomidating, and comforting. CONS: NONE! absolutely nothing! more

Community Animal Hospital 9/3/2005

I love this business because I have met a lot of people there who really do care about animals. Most of the people there are really good people who have nothing but good intentions for others. I'm a big animal supporter and so are the workers there. The animal hospital can be expensive just like any other hospital. They specialize in helping out animals especially domestic pets. What's special about them is their ability to see that animals are dying everyday and that animals need help. more
