Very thorough and a lot of helpful advice for first-time home buyers 7/2/2012

Commonwealth Home Inspections did our home inspection. We received advice on how to repair things ourselves but also recommendations for people who could do the work for us. He gave us a timeline for things that needed to be replaced. Our inspector was overall very helpful. I've recommended them to family and friends. more

Home Inspections 4/9/2012

My wife and I were very pleased with the work of Commonwealth. Recently Kenny came out to inspect a house we wanted to buy, and he found several safety violations, including improperly done handyman wiring. After an electrician looked at it, he said you better be glad your home inspector saw that problem because it was a fire waiting to happen. With the thorough report in hand, we convinced the seller that the price must be reduced significantly. If there is a defect or problem in a home, rest assured these guys will find it. more

Commonwealth Home Inspections came to me as a recommendation and I would certainly recommend them to anyone. Kenny was very thorough and did an excellent job of explaining what he was seeing and what it all meant. He was able to see things from a perspective that a home purchaser would not see and yet explained them in a way that was educational and useful. He provided information that went beyond, in order to help me take care of my investment. more

Kenny is very knowledgeable, professional and he stands by his inspections. 1/6/2012

Kenny came out and looked around at everything and was very thorough. He took the ladder out and went up on the roof to checked out everything. He does this for a living and he is very good at it. He is extremely critical and points out what is wrong right away. He tells you the issues and lets you make the decisions. Kenny gives you a big book about every detail of the inspection and does not make you sign the waiver like other inspectors. I am in the business, so I know a bunch, but he does it a lot and knows what needs to be fixed and what can be left. He gives good recommendations when he is not certain about a question or issue. more

A perfect experience. 12/6/2011

My experience with Commonwealth Home Inspections was perfect. I called Kenny, he came to inspect the house, and he actually found so many faults with the property, and just in the basement, that he asked me if I wanted to proceed with the inspection at that point. I stopped the inspection, and he only charged me half. more

Commonwealth Home Inspections are great. I found them on the internet, and hired them to inspect the home I am buying. They saved me a lot of money and trouble, and I'll be using them again in about a month for a final inspection. Commonwealth were very professional and knowledgeable. They worked well with us to explain what we needed to do to pass inspection. When they found a problem, they really took the time to familiarize us with the issue so we could have it fixed quickly, with as little effort as possible. A company like Commonwealth can really help to take the headache out of purchasing a new home. I definitely recommend them. more

Kenny, from Commonwealth Home Inspections, was extremely thorough. He did a good job explaining things that he found. He also helped by giving me some idea about which items were important and which ones were less important. He was also available to answer any questions after the inspection, and we emailed back and forth quite a few times. It was my first time using Commonwealth Home Inspections, and I would certainly use him again. I will also recommend him to others. He was very thorough and helpful, certainly better than my prior home inspection experiences. more

Kenny saved us thousands of dollars on a potential home by finding mold damage other inspectors missed. 4/21/2011

I was days away from closing on a home that I had been told was inspected on three separate occasions by three different home inspection companies. I was told that there was no reason for me to even bother with having another inspection. I was determined and called Kenny at Commonwealth. Because we were so close to closing we had very small window of when we could do the inspection. Kenny went out of his way to accommodate my very particular scheduling needs. Kenny found years worth of mold in the crawlspace (a space I had been told was clear by the other inspectors). The damage in mold would have been thousands of dollars to rectify and that would not have even fixed the CAUSE of the mold. Kenny is a lifesaver. I thank God that we had him come inspect our potential home. My family will use Kenny for any and all of our home inspection needs from now into the future. Thank you Kenny, for doing such an amazing job! more

Commonwealth Home Inspections provides great value for the money. 3/31/2011

This was our second time using Kenny from Commonwealth Home Inspections. I first found him through a Realtor, by asking "who was the most meticulous, pickiest inspector in the business?" I wanted a contractor who would inspect the home as if he were buying it for himself. Kenny was the person that fit the bill. He really is meticulous in both his inspections and his reports. He has the ability to show the customer exactly what he would do if he were the one buying. I also appreciate that he creates a schedule of maintenance, listing in order how he would go about fixing things. His reports are very detail-oriented and really help to empower the home-buyer with negotiations. I highly recommend his services. more

I'd say that Kenny of Commonwealth Home Inspections is 100 independent, he's not politically biased or influenced. Instead, he's completely and totally there for the person who hired him. Kenny is very professional, exceptionally detailed and accurate. I think that the value is easily justified with the finished product received. more
