The Binghamton area does not have a wide variety of hotels from which to choose. There are a few cheap, shabby motels, < $50-$60. There are some moderately priced hotels around $100. There are a few hotels > $150.\r

I chose the Comfort Inn because of the moderate price and, as a chain hotel, they are reliable in cleanliness and amenities in my experience. The room rate for a no smoking king for 1 person was $109. but I requested a corporate rate and received a discount of $98. per night.\r

The Comfort Inn is located generally between Binghamton Regional Airport and the city of Binghamton/Johnson City (20 minute drive from airport). It was easy to find and a good choice for the Tri-Cities. I felt more secure in this area than a downtown location.\r

There were several places nearby to eat or have a cocktail including Applebee's. A restaurant called ""The Spot"" had great food and service. Casey's Cantina has a fun pub atmosphere and menu.\r

I was very satisfied with the Comfort Inn. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. There is a spacious, inviting lobby area. Beyond a central ""living room"" area, you can see the cafe area for the complimentary breakfast. There was a good selection of breakfast items including, scrambled eggs, sausage, large waffles made to order, fresh breads, several cereal choices and beverages. Available until 10am. Serving staff were welcoming and friendly.\r

The room was very nice and clean with a coffee maker. Nice bathroom, comfortable bed and bedding, clean carpeting and a flat panel TV. Although I would have liked to have a small room refrigerator, there was a nearby pop machine with bottled water. I will definitely stay here again when I visit the area. Good value for the cost!
