The Binghamton area does not have a wide variety of hotels from which to choose. There are a few cheap, shabby motels, < $50-$60. There are some moderately priced hotels around $100. There are a few hotels > $150.\r \r I chose the Comfort Inn because of the moderate price and, as a chain hotel, they are reliable in cleanliness and amenities in my experience. The room rate for a no smoking king for 1 person was $109. but I requested a corporate rate and received a discount of $98. per night.\r \r The Comfort Inn is located generally between Binghamton Regional Airport and the city of Binghamton/Johnson City (20 minute drive from airport). It was easy to find and a good choice for the Tri-Cities. I felt more secure in this area than a downtown location.\r \r There were several places nearby to eat or have a cocktail including Applebee's. A restaurant called ""The Spot"" had great food and service. Casey's Cantina has a fun pub atmosphere and menu.\r \r I was very satisfied with the Comfort Inn. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. There is a spacious, inviting lobby area. Beyond a central ""living room"" area, you can see the cafe area for the complimentary breakfast. There was a good selection of breakfast items including, scrambled eggs, sausage, large waffles made to order, fresh breads, several cereal choices and beverages. Available until 10am. Serving staff were welcoming and friendly.\r \r The room was very nice and clean with a coffee maker. Nice bathroom, comfortable bed and bedding, clean carpeting and a flat panel TV. Although I would have liked to have a small room refrigerator, there was a nearby pop machine with bottled water. I will definitely stay here again when I visit the area. Good value for the cost! more

Our stay here was great! We booked in another hotel in town which was pretty awful and walked out so we really needed to find a place quickly and tried here. \r John at reception could not have been more helpful and got us a great room, he and the other staff could not have done more for us. Nice pool, good continental breakfast etc. Just a good place to stay and easy access to restaurants and the highway. more

We stayed at the Comfort Inn for 2 nights to attend a dog obedience trial and the hotel and staff was great. Our Newf Max was fussed over by the front deck and packs of dog cookies and poop bags were handed out at the front desk as well as cookies for us. The pet charge and small fee for a microwave and mini-fridge in our room was minimal. The rooms were very clean, AC worked great and the free breakfast was extensive. Would stay here again. more

What a nice surprise -- on our way to Binghamton a friend suggested we try the Comfort Inn. We have had such inconsistent luck with this chain that we would not have gone there without the friend's prompting. She was right. The room was fine-- clean, comfortable and pleasant. Especially liked the extra little bank of outlets next to the bed and the super good WiFi! more

We found the Comfort Inn to more that meet our needs. The Staff at the front desk were extremely helpful with suggestions for local dining. We found the rooms to be comfortable and clean allowing for a good nights rest. We were staying along with a large convention of visitors who were there for several days, so felt like there was a lot of activity. A good choice when in the Binghamton area. more

This was a great experience for my 97 yr old mother. The handicap room was clean, warm and the bed very comfortable. The staff is exceptional!!!!! They offered to make sure she would have \r help getting to the breakfast room and help in selecting her breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and the ""cooks"" very cordial. This is a great place to stay while in the Binghamton area. more

This is a very well run hotel. The front desk staff was very gracious and knowledgeable. The room had the most comfortable bed with pillow top and their own designed white comforters with both soft and firm pillows. I even tried to buy one of the comforters as they were so perfect for a good night sleep. Not to warm or cool. The front lobby was really nice and the breakfast area large and had everything you would want for breakfast. The two ladies running the breakfast area were kind and friendly. more

We were driving to Syracuse and hit a snow storm, we had to stay the night in Binghamton. We stayed at this Comfort Inn. The hotel was clean and up to date. I especially liked that we had multiple pillows to choose from, some soft and others firm. The breakfast was your typical hotel continental breakfast with bagels, toast, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage links, and fresh belgian waffles that they made to order. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The best part about the stay was while I was eating breakfast, I looked out and one of the staff was brushing the snow off all of the cars and shoveling paths to the car doors. I would definitely recommend this hotel. more

My husband arrived a day earlier than me. He called me that evening and told me that I would be very pleased with the room because it was so clean and smelled fresh. Also, the bed was comfortable. He did not wake up with back pain and was well rested. We were very satisfied with the service we received and the continental breakfast was quite extensive and very good. We would recommend this hotel and we would stay here again. more
