Denver's premiere comedy club, Comedy Works, is THE place to go in the Mile High City for laughs. It consistently books the best comics week in, week out that will keep you rollin...

Worst

The reason you see that nearly all the reviews are either one star or five stars has to be because the staff is trying to counteract the customers, I think. Very very disappointi...

Best laughs in town 7/1/2007

Comedy Works is the perfect way to spend any night. Hilarious comedians. Great staff. Delicious food and drinks. It is a great place to come whether you are bringing a date or a group of friends, it's a guaranteed fabulous time. Pros: Great atmosphere. Great mix of people. Accessible by lightrail!! Cons: Parking can be tough but there are plenty of lots around. more

Great comedy 6/29/2007

I have become addicted to Comedy Works having been 4 times in the last 2 months. CW has a great line-up of nationally recognized comedians. The shows have been great for dates and typically have a nice mix of local commedians leading up to the headliners. Pros: Great comedians. Lots of laughs. Good place for a date. Cons: Can be tough to get in on Friday and Saturday nights. more

The shows have been great for dates and typically have a nice mix of local commedians leading up to the headliners. I know the club has been downtown for a long time, but I have not been until recently. I'm glad I discovered it and really look forward to some of the upcoming acts!!! Pros: Great comedians. Lots of laughs. Good place for a date. Cons: Can be tough to get in on Friday and Saturday nights. more

Denver's premiere comedy club 6/28/2007

I recently attended Bryan Kellen at Comedy Works. It had been a few years since attending a show at the club and I was impressed with the quality of the four comedians that performed. The room bounces with energy and the seating is so close to the comedians it makes sense that big names like Dave Chappelle come here to try out new material. I'm looking forward to coming back on a regular basis! more

Tight Room, Great Comedy 6/27/2007

Y'know how giddy you used to get on the school bus. Something about the tight nervous energy made the ride a blast. Add a couple beers and...bingo! Best time ever. The talent is great and the space is worth checking out. Low ceilings, close quarters, tiny stage -the layout lends itself well to comedy, Perfect for a date or large group. Thanks Comedy Works for years of consistently great shows! Pros: Brushing shoulders east coast style Cons: waiting in a line more

BEST CLUB IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY! 6/27/2007

I was so lucky to have a chance to attend a show at this comedy club while visiting my sister in Colorado. WHAT A GREAT PLACE! The staff is so friendly and the comics were SO FUNNY! I have never laughed so hard in all of my life. This is one of the best nights I have ever had and I can't wait to go back to this place. We had a great time. more

3 Strikes against them! 5/10/2007

I was looking forward to checking out this place being someone who is new to the area. I've have been to comedy clubs all over the country and this was the worst place I have ever seen a show at. First they say doors open at 9:30 show at 10:30 so my group goes over to the place around 9:45 and we are faced with a long line out onto the street, no big deal I can handle a little delay...well 15 minutes later no sign of movement in the line and the large group of people waiting are now getting rained on hard, still no movement till 10:25 at this point most of the people around us are not happy. No sorry for the delay or anything like that, Strike 1. While standing in the line a guy comes around to hand out tickets for people on the will call list like myself and issues tickets to walk ups, having paid $25 for buying ahead I wasn?t happy when the people buy day of were paying only $10, Strike 2. When the finally herd us in with all the class of a livestock show we get to our seats and a pillar is right in front of the spot where the performers mike is, making us twist to try and see the acts, most of the time we can?t see the acts. Strike 3. It might have helped our experience if we had some time to loosen up with a drink or two before the show starts but before you an even order your first drink the show starts. Sorry to say I can?t see coming back. Cons: careless service more

The ticket process is a joke! 2/14/2007

The staff here is so incredibly rude that it makes it very hard to have a good time once you actually make it in the door. Pros: Talent Cons: Service, ticket process, staff more

Funny -Funny -Fun 11/13/2006

My husband and I went to see Harlan Williams one night. HE was hilarious. Josh Blue was there and he is funny as well. The cocktail servers were friendly and efficient. The drinks were very good. From the beginning to the end of the show, we were entertained and kept hydrated. Pros: good drinks and fast service more

Chelsea Handler last night 9/24/2006

I saw Chelsea Handler there last night and she was great...last month we saw a younger comic on a weekday that we hadn't heard of and he was great. We take friends there from out of town all the time and we always have a great time. The wait staff continues to boggle me. They carry heavy trays in tiny aisles and in the dark most of the time. I think this is one of Denver's little hidden secrets. Although, they're always busy when we're there, so maybe not so secret?....love this place...and loe it now that Comedy Works and every place is non-smoking...thank you! more
