Come Sit Stay Pet Resort

I used to think it was a great place the people seemed friendly, reasonable prices, looks clean but that all changed after I had my dogs board with them this time. I had two dogs stay there for eight days, and when I picked them up everything seemed ok and they didn’t say anything happened. It wasn’t until on the way home I noticed my miniature pinschers tail had 1/3 of his fur missing and it looked like it had got bit. I called and asked what happened because they didn’t say anything to me. They lady said she would go ask the kids what happened. She got back on the phone and told me that the kids told her that tip of his tale was like that when he came in. The injury wasn’t at the top of his tale, it was in the middle, and it wasn’t there when I brought him in! I then wrote an email explaining what happened and I think he had got bit and it might have irritated him so he was licking it. He doesn’t just lick himself like that. I sent him pictures of it. Then the owner called me and said that there was a mess up in communicating it to me because my dog had jumped over the door. They had sat there and put his leash on; you would think she would have said something then. He also said my pictures were too bad to tell what was wrong. He also said that one of them saw him messing with his tale and they picked him up, but why didn’t she look at it and see why he was messing with it. It is really noticeable and looks bad. I don’t even know if I believe him when he told me that. He was just giving me excuse after excuse. He didn’t even apologize for not telling me. I took him to the vet and have to get medicine. They had his skin tested for mites and it was negative. The vet said that it looked like it could have possible been a dog bite. While I was there we also noticed in between his paw was an infection. I am not taking my dogs there again and will look into taking them to VCA Alameda East Veterinary lodge. It may cost more, but I ended up having to pay more anyway because I had to pay to take him to the vet. more

Dogs get lots of exercise, no extra charges, astro truf is great- keeps the dogs really clean. my dog is relaxed and happy after a stay.staff is receptive to my needs. I am know my dog is not the only dog there to be taken care of so i try not to be one of those nutty dog owners. review policies nothing out of the ordinary. from much experience and much travel i know come sit stay does a great job. all the holidays & lots of weekends get booked so i reserve early! guess lots of people like em. OH - yea my dog really likes to the pool - the staff helped her learn to swim :) more

I'll preface this review by confirming that the other reviews are spot-on in regards to cleanliness, convenience to E470 and the professional, caring staff! I'll follow that by stating I had rated CSS as 5-stars on the first two visits however after this stay, will not be returning. And sadly enough it was due to one employee...specifically one of the three owners! I arrived to pick up my dogs after a five night stay, and a woman (one of the owners) in the lobby overheard the names of my dogs, approached me and stated that having a blanket for each dog took up too much room in the kennel and we only need one next time. She stated that if the dogs have accidents in the kennel or spill water, then she has do to extra laundry. Puzzled at why our previous kennel of five years never mentioned this (in the same size kennel), I asked to see the CSS kennel. At that point, this partial owner blew my mind on everything that followed. On the way back to my dogs' kennel I was curious about her comment regarding laundering the blankets due to accidents (which my dogs haven't had since their puppy days). It made me wonder how long they were actually spending in the kennel during the day so asked how much play time the dogs had received The response of "we don't track their play time down to the minute" was received. Taken aback, I clarified that I wasn't looking for tracking down to the minute, just an idea of how long. Response was "about two hours or so" which would have sufficed the first time! Upon arriving to my dogs' kennel I was given a demonstration of how the blankets took up too much space by using a 3'x2' - 1/4" thick blanket which is included with the room rate. Not sure what she was going for when she put the blanket in the middle of the kennel when there was plenty of space in the back of the kennel but that wasn't what prompted this review. What created this rating was the fact that she proceeded to remove the temporary collars by yanking them apart with her hands. Now, over the past five years I've only seen more

Not only is the facility amazing, but the owners & staff are more dedicated than any I have ever seen. You simply can't get any better. more

When we need to board our dogs Come Sit Stay is the BEST boarding facility we have found. Not only can you board your dog but you can have it trained while there. My 2 Dobermans love going on vacation at Come Sit Stay. They don't get dirty because all the play areas (indoors and outside) have artificial turf to keep them clean. Tim, Lori and Nish are great dog trainers and we recommend Come Sit Stay for your boarding and training needs. They also have daycare! more

Come Sit Stay has the nicest pet boarding facility I have ever seen! Every time we go out of town, there is no question where we'll leave the dog and cat! The brand new building has a huge, super clean indoor play area. They even have a separate HVAC system for the cat area so they're not stressed out by the smell of dogs! Outside, there are several large yards for play that all have super nice artificial turf that is kept spotless! No more muddy dog during the rainy season.They even have a pool just for dogs! The trainers at Come Sit Stay turned our very "puppy" German Shepherd into a reliable, steady member of our family. Thanks, Come Sit Stay! more
