worst company i've ever dealt with 11/28/2007

My roommates and I were having trouble with our cable box and needed someone to come out and fix it. We scheduled 8 appointments (each time waiting around for 4 hours for them to not show up). When we would call to complain, not only would we wait on hold for about a half an hour, but comcast would give us some lie as to what happened. For example, they told us they had the wrong phone number on the account, but yet they called to confirm the appointment on the correct number, and never showed. They also told us that someone came out and fixed the problem from the outside, which also didn't happen. AND, they told us one time that someone came in and we had the cords set up wrong, but that wasn't the problem AND that didn't happen. So after all that, we decided to cancel the cable television, but keep the internet. A few days later our internet stops working, and they say they need to send out a technician. Yet again, no one shows up. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS COMPANY! They are not worth the hassle. Cons: unreliable more

Abosutely Terrible! 8/7/2007

Scheduling appointments is not a problem. Getting them to show up for it is almost impossible. I and each one of my roomates have each taken days or partial days off from work so that we could be at the house, to recieve the service that can only be scheduled in random 4 hour chunks, only to have no one show up, and no one call. They lie about the phone calls, and lie about the date and time it was scheduled. We have had issues with TV or Internet almost every week for the last year. more

Worst cable company ever! 7/18/2007

It took over 30 minutes to set up my account. I was on hold forever and kept getting transferred. The guy who came out to install the cable was incredibly rude. After 10 minutes I told him to just get out of my apartment. I then wanted to get DirecTV (great customer service) but had issues with having to drill holes. I set up a second appointment (a least 2 hours of phone calls), but they kept changing the installation date on me without even telling me! I called three times to confirm and each time they gave me a different date and time. I ended up having to pay a kid to sit in my house and wait for them. We gave them the kid's cell phone to call when they showed up, but they kept calling my husband at work. And then the representative yelled at my husband for even giving them his work number in the first place. When they were done with the installation, they left a bunch of cords spread out all over the floor. And just yesterday (a month after the installation) I got a call confirming my installation appointment for next week. What the hell is going on over there? I now support those dumb commercials that say we need more cable companies in Illinois. more

They do not know what customer service is!!! 7/12/2007

This is a terrible company! I live in Utah and Comcast IL continues to charge my credit card. When I call customer service all they can tell me I have to go to the local to prove that my credit card has been charged since it does not show up in there system. The office that handles Utah can not see the payment. The other option they tell me I can do is call my credit card company and tell them that Comcast is fraudulently charging my card and have the credit card company work it out with Comcast. What a company, they take my money and then tell me that my best recourse is to tell others that they are a fraud. Pros: None so far Cons: Everything more

HORIBBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE 4/17/2007

I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH COMCAST. THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE AND WHEN THEY DO THEY PUT YOU ON HOLD FOR 30MINUTES. THEY ALSO DONT SHOW UP TO APPOITMENTS. THEY EXPECT YOU TO SIT AT HOME AND WAIT FOR THEM WITH A 5 HOUR WINDOW AND THEN THEY DONT SHOW UP. THEY HAVENT SHOWED UP TWICE TO INSTALL OUR CABLE. WE'VE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH COMCAST. more

Don't count on an installer showing up on time 2/22/2005

Have had to reschedule installation, seems like a two hour window only isn't enough - it doesn't even come with a courtesy phone call to let you know they're running past the two hour window. Customer service on the phone is about a 30 minute wait to figure out where the tech is - and they can't even confirm that.
