Great prices for drinks 5/4/2009

This is a fun place and it has cheap drinks,staff are cool. Top shelf booze and pool tables also! It can get busy on the weekend and somepatrons are weird. Pros: Cheap top shelf Cons: Patrons a little dodgy more

Bad Security Ladies Don't go here 4/11/2009

I used to go to this bar with my friends all the time when Tommy was the bouncer. The bar was great back then and Tommy was great.\r \r I think Nelson and Johnny own the bar and they usually do a pretty good job of keeping creeps out.\r \r Since they hired the new security guard, Tony, things have gone to\r \r I had a horny old man tried super hard to flirt with me and then grab my butt, so of course I told the security guard, Tony. He said, ""well he's just an old man"". He didn't kick him out or anything.\r \r I will never spend my money at this bar again. Ladies I wouldn't recomend you go here. i agree! ive only been there once...i will NEVER go again....its was kind of dirty.. i know its a dive bar....but there were alot of creepy gezzers there who acted like they have never seen a girl before..i just felt really uncomfortable there...i would never go back....go to the vault across the street! A Good Dive Bar 7/5/2005

The Colorado is one of the few places left were you can sit, have a good drink which is inexpensive. The place have very dim lighting which is different from alot of places, not to mention the fact that smoking is definetely allowed. They dont believe in ash trays so getting all dressed up is not recommended nor required. It does have a younger type of crowd but you'll have plenty of fun, whether it be drinking, playing darts or playing pool. The crowd is very diverse and the bartenders are great. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a change and not be disappointed. Pros: Diverse Crowd, Inexpensive, Casual Cons: Crowded, Small Bathroom more

Perverts R Us! 8/30/2002

The first time I ever went into the Colorado one of the bartenders spouted the most perverted, obnoxious joke at me and everyone around me broke out in laughter. It wasn't even a very good joke but because its x-rated everyone felt they had to react with an uproar. Its a small bar with 2 pool tables that are constantly in use. If you can avoid the crude jokes by just about all of the bartenders the drinks are pretty good and reasonably priced. The jukebox is not as good as everyone likes to think. Dark, Dank and Divine. 7/26/2002

Love this place. Pool table, beautiful bartenders, well except for the old man. Drinks are strong and can knock you on your a** if you're not careful. Prices are good. Parking is a pain. But it's the place to go to and unwind after work. Some cute guys and girls on the weekend, but a bit young for my taste. During the weekdays expect your working class people catching a quick drink before heading home. more

The place is smoky, small, and dingy but the drinks are cheap, the people are fun, the music rocks, and it is always a good time! Note to the ladies... plan on spending plenty of time in the restroom line! more

Dive Bar at it's best. 5/19/2002

Dirty floors and strong drinks, now that's how I like my dive bars. Two pool tables, and a dart board help keep you entertained. The bartenders are great, and the drinks are even better. I do recommend the Bloody Mary at this joint, it's so good. One tip for the ladies who haven't been there before: In your drunken mess, if you decide to go to the ladies room, please note that the door does jam. Though it's a cruel trick, especially when you've had quite a few Tequila shots, you can quickly get out by turning the knob hard to the left (it took me two times to figure this out). Once your freedom has been returned, there is a Denny's that is conveniently open 24/7 for those who need to sober up after a fun night at the Colorado. This place is by far the best bar in pasadena. This place serves the best bloody mary's in Los angeles. I never even liked bloody mary's until I had one at the rado. Ohhhhh soooo gooood 5/16/2002

This is one of the greatest dive bars that I've ever been to - dark and smokey, cheap and powerful drinks, and ""no smoking allowed"" - meaning, just ash out on the floor. Once you get completely liquored up, you can stumble across the street (careful, it's jaywalking) to the Denny's. I wouldn't want it any other way. more

Its true. There are old, half-drunk bartenders. And smoke holes in the carpet. And a dark, shabby interior. But who cares? Some may lament over its lack of class, but compared to the cold, sterile environments around Old TownIll take Johnny & The Colorado any day. more
