Excellent Stay!!! 9/6/2013

First off, to sum up my experience it was an excellent stay. As you walk in you are greeted by kind staff members and the lobby has beautiful decor. The premises are very nice with a very convenient location. I liked that it was very close to Southeastern Louisiana University. The room was medium size and exceptionally clean. It included a 1 Queen Bed. It also had a mini fridge and microwave oven. The restroom was very clean. I really liked the continental breakfast. The Breakfast area was beautifully decorated as well. Staff was very kind and even started conversations with us while having breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back. Thank you Colonial Inn team for making our stay so outstanding. more

First of all, do not let the presence of so many trucks scare you off. We almost didn't stop because of truck stop traffic. We were glad that we read other positiveTrip Advisor reviews. The office personnel were nice and polite, and quoted the whole price up front. The room was clean, nicely decorated, not overly perfumed, and the A/C was already on and the room cool. Linens and towels were good quality, mattress comfortable, and the shower was hot with a good spray. Once in the room we never heard a truck. Had a great night's sleep. more

It is located just off of I-12 but is quiet. It is between two trucking facilities so the location leaves a bit to be desired. The roo was very clean and well-equiped )microwve, minifridge). The hi-spped wireless internt worked exremely well. The price was easonable. Overall a good place to stay when in the area. more

The Colonial Inn was much better than I anticipated. It is located next to a busy truck stop, and at first glance, it doesn't seem to be appealing. However, the room I stayed in was very clean and well-kept. It reminded me of a small efficiency apartment. The rate I paid was well worth it. more

Room was very clean and comfortable, had everything your would need excellent internet service. Marble counters and tub surround were a pleasent surprise. Staff friendly and helpful. Don't turn away because next to a gas station or you will a gem in the rough I would stay there again if in the area it is a good value for the money. more

Me and my two daughters came though here on short notice on our way back from a funeral. We were very happy with the value we received. The manager was very attentive to our needs. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others without reservation. I didn't give a high rating for the location but that should in no way be taken as a negative. The location did not AT ALL affect our stay more

This hotel was recommended to us when we had an accident with our 5th wheel. Big Wheel in Hammond towed us to their shop and noted that this motel accepted pets. Motel is older but is well maintained. It is clean. Staff is great and was very flexible as our length of stay kept changing. It is near a truck stop. Noisy outside but rooms are quiet. Great place if you are out & about during day and need a reliable place to rest. more

I am a single female traveler and i had been on the road for several hours and was very tired. I took the first exit I saw with a motel sign . At first I was a little leery when I saw all of the trucks but upon entering the lobby i was put at ease. I told the clerk i just wanted a room where I could rest . The room was a great surprise very clean and the color was very relaxing not your normal motel beige. I felt vey relaxed and safe and slept like a baby. more

Our family stayed the night in August, and were quite pleased. Our room was clean, the staff was quite friendly, the price was reasonable, and the location was very convenient. The best part of the stay (other than the whole ""finally out of the car after 12 hours of travel"" thing): the shower! more

Great Value! Very Clean Rooms! Great Staff! Everybody very friendly, any request, for towel, toilet paper, local directions, followed up right away with a smile. Can't say enough about staff kept us supplyed with towels clean linen everyday. highly recommend!! more

My wife and I spent one night at this motel in December while traveling and were very pleased. We checked several other motels' rates before deciding on the Colonial Inn and it was by far the best value. The room was very clean and provided excellent T.V. and included several extras as well as providing a nice breakfast. The staff was very friendly and worked hard to please us in every respect. It is located just off the interstate. It is an outstanding value! more

We are a group of motorcycle folks that have varying ages..We have been staying at this hotel for the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival for 8 years..We have never been disappointed and our stay is a wonderful experience. It is located near lots of restuarants and fast food.\r The continental breakfast is great and with the family owing this inn it makes for a very comfortable place to stay..We will always stay at this hotel when we are in the area....Thank you so much for a great place to stay..see ya next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more
