I have read many a review of this place and almost turned away as a result (as they were generally pretty poor). All I can say is that I am glad I didn't just listen to the reviews, but rather asked around.\r \r I will warn you. If you are coming here because you want to pay someone to kiss your @$$ for you, you are coming to the wrong place. The owner has a unique personality and he is proud to point out he has been doing this for decades and knows what he is talking about. My dogs needed a trim (they honestly did) and he didn't have any problem letting me know that I should get right on that, even if it wasn't through them.\r \r There is indoor and outdoor space for the dogs, and the grounds are kept neat and tidy. The first thing I noted was the very clean smell upon walking in. The only reason I gace 4/5 stars is because I think the runs can get a bit small for extended stay, especially in the winter. This place is really an old time boarding facility with a Mom and Pop feel. The Owner and his wife are really nice People and they live there and play with the dogs daily if you want them to and if your dog allows it.\r \r It has a homey feel and when you first walk in the place it doesn't even smell like a kennel.Also my dogs were in a pen with each other but separated by fencing so another strange dog could not get to them but they could still socialize with them. VERY SAFE!\r \r I was able to bring my own food and treats for my angels and they were able to have their own beds too! I wasn't charged to have my own food and treats given to my dogs and they didn't charge me to play with my dogs they just do it.\r \r They also have fantastic grooming. I had my poodles given haircuts by the owners wife who has two poodles herself and she is going to put them on their website for viewing as they turned out dynamite. They are situated in a small neighborhood atmosphere along the Metra tracks on the business side of Columbus Ave. The businesses near by are well cared for, as well, so I felt comfortable leaving my babies there. If you have to go out of town this is the place and the rates are so affordable. The prices vary by the size of dog but it ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per day and about $5.00 more in the summer and on holidays like Easter and Christmas, etc. Pros: No worries of my babies getting hurt by some other dog more

My cousin has two dogs. She travels often and tries to find safe and fun places to leave her precious dogs. This place is clean and organized. I recommend. more
