ive been going to this for lunch to this place since they new owners took over and absolutely love it!. It is hosted by its owner who is always ready to give the best service possible, the wait staff is very friendly and fast, they always greet you with a smile which makes you feel very welcome!. the food is delicious and they work hard on the presentation of each dish. good price, good portions, complimentary soup, excellent coconut soup(a favorite) . highly recommend this place! Buford Highway has numerous great Asian restaurants, but it has a relatively small number of quality Thai restaurants. Coco Thai Bistro is a welcome change of pace. We have had several appetizers and entrees here, and they have all been very good. The kitchen obviously pays attention to the details, since the side vegetables, noodles, and sauces are often as interesting as the main courses. Thai food lovers looking for excellent Thai dishes at very reasonable prices should check out Coco Thai. more

I've been to Thailand and the food here is better than it was in Thailand!! If you are looking for an exquisite, masterpiece curry then this is the place. Friendly staff and owner, well decorated, convenient, good prices - What more could you want?! I ate there for lunch today and it was perfect for $7! I'll be making this one of my good habits for 2009! Pros: Incredible curries, great service, good prices - Did I mention the curries? Cons: Its not next door to my house! Maybe I can get them to give me the Panang recipe?! more

This relatively new restaurant is a wonderful way to experience Thai food. You'll start the experience by being greeted warmly as soon as you enter the restaurant and it only gets better. more

This thai restaurant is a wonderful secret! The food was delicious and the presentation of each dish was beautiful as well. The wine list is impressive for a restaurant of this size. The wait staff was friendly and very attentive. I am happy to find this place so close to Buckhead, with none of the normal Buckhead crowded conditions and traffic hassles. After discovering that I have celiac disease, my favorite pastime changed drastically, to say the least. When I told the server at CoCo Thai, she made no fuss about it and the chef even came out and talked to me! I wasn't expecting very much, seeing as most gluten free substitutions are the equivalent of the Wall- Mart variety of a five star restaurant. What I received, though, was one of the most delicious meals I've ever had. This stuff is good. And not just gluten free good. Good, for real. I felt like the chef took my disease and turned it into a challenge... only he does this for every dish. My date's dinner may have been better than mine! Curries are well rounded, with thoughtful touches such as the addition of pineapple to Massaman. Don't hesitate to check out the Trio- panang, green and massaman curries in a three sectioned dish. The service is impeccable and I can't believe it doesn't cost more. I've been twice now, and each time amazed at the amount of beautifully prepared food for the price. Go. Check it out. See if it isn't instantly your new favorite Thai place. Pros: The simple decor leaves the focus on the amazing food. Did I mention the food? It is DELICIOUS! Went here with my friend a couple of weeks ago and have since been back three times. Everyone I have taken here has been hooked ever since. It is a tucked away gem convenient to downtown. The menu hosts a wide variety of great Thai food. The staff is friendly and competent. My compliments to the chef!! Green Curry is amazing as well as the Massaman Curry. Since I moved to Decatur, I've been searching for a good Thai restaurant to replace my old favorite outside the Perimeter. Unknowingly, I happened into Coco Thai Bistro just after the owners took over from Phuket. From the minute I entered the restaurant I was hooked. The owner and wait staff are the most professional and nicest I've encountered anywhere and they even remembered our names after the first visit. They carefully explained the menu to us and prepared several of our favorite dishes that aren't even on the menu but are more authentic Thai. Everything is prepared perfectly and if we want something changed, it's never a problem.....and they always remember to bring extra cilantro for the Nam Sod! Coco Thai Bistro is a real jewel. Having eaten at many Thai restaurants, it's difficult to find one that really stands out. This one certainly does. When I arrived the hostess met me with a warm smile and was eager to answer all my questions about the menu. The staff is so helpful and go out of their way to make sure you have a great dining experience. The food was prepared exactly the way I like it with just the right amount of spices. If you like authentic Thai food, then this is the place for you. I was so impressed that I have returned several times. The last time I was there I asked if they could prepare something that wasn't even on the menu. The waitress said ""No Problem"" and in just a few minutes she brought me the most delicious grilled ribeye with northeastern spicy dipping sauce that I have ever eaten.
