re: coast lawnmower. Bad experience. The young lady at the front desk wasn't very receptive, or attentive (flat affect- no emotion-some what defensive). They said that it would take a week to get to my edger fixed and that they would call me. After a week and a half later it was I that called them. They said that they needed parts and that it would take about a week. Again, they said that they would call me. Another week and a half later of not hearing anything, I called them. They said that it would take a week to fix it and that they would call me. As frustrating as this was they had already had the edger for close to a month and claimed to have the ordered parts in so I chose to let them finish the job. After repeated weekly phone calls to them, it took close to 6 weeks to get it back; however, the guard on the edger was missing. When I asked about this, they all seemed to have a flat affect- no emotion- almost defensive and they said they would look around the shop but they didn’t think it ever had one. I didn’t pursue this and paid too much for this experience. I know it had a guard since the grass, dirt and rocks never hit the user’s face and arms in the past (a replacement guard would cost $60.00). All it needed was a carburetor and when I finally got it back from the repair shop the arm that attached to the blade would not retract or telescope which allows you to raise and lower, didn’t work, so I had to have it fixed again (another shop this time). Still don’t have a guard.
