Excellent Repair knowledgeable Staff 4/5/2012

I have taken 3 pieces of equipment in for them to repair. They are fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. They are under new ownership, but that didnt stop me, from the time I walked in I was greeted by extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. One piece of equipment had a major failure, and instead of telling me over the phone they brought me in so that there mechanic could show me what happened and why it happened. Also showing me not only on the machine but paper work to prove that the machine was ruined. It was my fault, I loaned it to a friend who ran it without oil But I thought that it was great for them to show me what was going on instead of just telling me over the phone. I will continue to go back to Coast Lawn Mower. Great place, Great Prices, Highly recommended. more

coast lawnmower. Bad experience. 3/25/2012

re: coast lawnmower. Bad experience. The young lady at the front desk wasn't very receptive, or attentive (flat affect- no emotion-some what defensive). They said that it would take a week to get to my edger fixed and that they would call me. After a week and a half later it was I that called them. They said that they needed parts and that it would take about a week. Again, they said that they would call me. Another week and a half later of not hearing anything, I called them. They said that it would take a week to fix it and that they would call me. As frustrating as this was they had already had the edger for close to a month and claimed to have the ordered parts in so I chose to let them finish the job. After repeated weekly phone calls to them, it took close to 6 weeks to get it back; however, the guard on the edger was missing. When I asked about this, they all seemed to have a flat affect- no emotion- almost defensive and they said they would look around the shop but they didn’t think it ever had one. I didn’t pursue this and paid too much for this experience. I know it had a guard since the grass, dirt and rocks never hit the user’s face and arms in the past (a replacement guard would cost $60.00). All it needed was a carburetor and when I finally got it back from the repair shop the arm that attached to the blade would not retract or telescope which allows you to raise and lower, didn’t work, so I had to have it fixed again (another shop this time). Still don’t have a guard. more
