waited for 45 minutes in a room. I don't like how there isn't much patient privacy, you're so close to other people with their mouths open getting dental work with only a half wal...

HORRIBLE! 11/1/2011

I have regularly been to dentists my entire life and NEVER had a problem. Then I went to this dentistal office......My last two appointment here I ended up having anxiety attacks and in tears because the previous times they had messed up so horribly and they insisted on doing the work themselves and repair it but just kept making it WORSE every time I finally cut my losses and went to a new dentist to have them fix all the messing up this place did. I had tooth pain which was caused by a cracked tooth the dr sanded my tooth to a nub. The nub was so tiny and temp so poorly placed that it fell off within two days of me getting it put on. So now I have a tooth with an exposed root and nerve. It took the dentist 36 hours to get back to me! (FYI an exposed root and nerve was more painful that all 3 of my knee surgeries combined). When the dentist finally returned my call and gave me something to help I ended up unable to do anything because the meds were so strong and I couldn't not take them because I was inconstant pain just from breathing forget eating or even thinking about drinking anything with exposed nerves and roots. more

New Dentist and Hygienist 10/21/2011

My office (new dentist) now refers you to an outside oral surgeon for tooth extraction; I really don't want to have to set up an appointment/account with someone else. The Hygienist was a bit rough with the probe when checking my gums. more

crowns 10/12/2011

I keep having problems with crowns I have gotten or had repaired at Coast Dental. They can't seem to get them to stay in place. The people are great and really do try to solve m dental problems more

Very Unsatisfied 10/1/2011

I was very unsatisfied after my appointment. First, the dentist and dental hygenist that I have been using since coming to Coast Dental are no longer at this location. This would have been fine, but the new hygenist and doctor were late to the appointment and had no clue as to who I was or my history. The dental hygenist then put some gloss on my teeth and, while doing so, proceeded to explain what she was doing and that I could not eat or drink anything hot for 4 hours. Since it was approaching lunch, this forced me to have to find something else to eat for lunch while at work. Needless to say, I was very unsatisfied with the new management and will likely go somewhere else next time. more

Lack of information 9/29/2011

My teeth were cleaned satisfactorily but i was not informed my favorite dentist (Dr.Lee) had left the firm. Why not?? I do realize that this happens at a "chain" dental service but I would expect a little courtesy considering I have been with the firm longer than all the employees at the location I use. ?????? more

Lied to me when I made the appt - beware 7/15/2011

I called to schedule a cleaning and asked how soon I can get an appt because I am an expat and am only in the USA for 3 weeks. I was told 'we have an appt open tomorrow'. So, I booked it. Once the x-rays & dentist check were done; I was told I would not have a cleaning today; because their policy is to have a new patient check appt before scheduling a cleaning. And, I wouldn't be able to get a cleaning for 2 weeks. I was very unhappy and let them know; since my time is very limited and I have a lot of other appts & family to see - but they did not care. I'm sure all they wanted was to get paid by my insurance and fill their slot; no matter how inconvient to me. And, since I had already done x-rays and started with them; I wasn't able to switch to a different dentist at this time. I will not continue with this dentist when I am back in town. I hope this review helps others to avoid this dentist and avoid being lied to by the staff. more

I had an extraction of a widom tooth, no pain was felt. Overall it was as good an experience as was possible considering the circumstances. more

need new office help! 7/3/2011

I was asked to arrive an hour before my scheduled appt time as you had a cancellation. I hurried to comply. Once I arrived, I had a two min x ray, then waited around for 45 mins. After a two min exam by the dentist, I waited a long period of time for my cleaning. I was very frustrated and angry for all my wasted time. The only reason I will come back is because of the wonderful hygenist who apologized deeply and did a great Job on my cleaning. Your office help was horrible. This is not the first time they have messed up. They never said "boo" about a two hour appt and me coming in early to accommodate them. Angry, angry ANGRY with them. You need people like Marie. She showed excellent people skills. You asked. I answered. more

LONG wait 7/1/2011

my appointment was at 10:40am. They took me back right away, sat me down, and put the bib on me. I then waited for 20 minutes before I saw a single person. Then the assistant came over, to let me know the Dr was running late. It was another half hour before the Dr came by to let me know that she was ready. I thought that this was very poor service. To make a patient sit and wait for over 45 minutes without any kind of follow up is very rude. Unfortunatley this wasn't the first time that this has happened. a year ago, they took me back for xrays, then sat me in a chair, the Dr came in for an exam and then I waited for 45 minutes before anyone came to tell me my cleaning wasn't even scheduled for another 2 hours! Very dissapointed! more

Horrid 6/7/2011

Do not go here!!! I had to wait no less than an hour after my appointment time (after being rescheduled once already) only to be told I needed over 6,000 dollars worth of dental work! After getting a second opinion I found that many of the procedures were unnecessary and even counter productive. more
