RoxanneKo wrote the previous review of this company and failed to leave out a few very basic details. I was in the office at the time of booking, as well as when Roxanne was called prior to the event... 1) Clowns Unlimited's rep did not say the bounce house was waterproof. What was stated is that the unit does have a rain cover which will protect the children in the case of a light sprinkling... Roxanne was then advised due to the heavy rain forecast to either get a unit which could fit in her garage (but declined as she stated her garage was too dirty.) 2) When RoxanneKo declined this opportunity, she was then advised to have her party at Inflatable Kingdom as there was a space available at the same time the party was scheduled (less than 10 minutes from Roxanne's house) She also declined this. 3) She was then advised if she would like to cancel the bounce house due to weather to do so by 9am morning of, and she would then receive a store credit for her full rental amount for 1 full year. She did not do this. Roxanne took the delivery of the unit the day of the event, she also signed the delivery paperwork which states that Clowns Unlimited can not be held accountable for the weather. (If they could- well they would certainly not be in the bounce house business...lol...) The bottom line is that this lady was hell bent on getting a refund despite being served with the best intentions and offered a number of great solutions prior to her event. She then went so far as to personally attack, libel, and slander individuals within the organization. more

I used CU last year for a bounce house at my daughter's 2nd birthday party and it was wonderful...it was also a beautiful day. This year I ordered again however when the weather turned bad, so did their customer service. They assured me the bounce house functioned perfectly in the rain and that it was ""weather-proof"" and ""covered"". Well it is covered, however the cover has 4 large holes in each corner acting as a gutter for the house. Our bounce house was FILLED with water. I had to use every towel in the house just to keep the lake of water sopped up and even then it was so wet that the children's clothing all got soaked. When I called Julia in the Portland office...who had been so helpful in making sure I was comfortable going forward with my purchase even though it was a down-pour, she was NOT so friendly and helpful after the fact. Once I got through (because my phone calls were not being returned) she just shrugged off my phone call in a RUDE and FLIPPANT manner by saying ""yeah, it has holes, so the kids get a little wet. It's not a safety issue it's just uncomfortable"" and finished with letting me know that they'd fulfilled their contract of getting the house here so too bad for me. I was very excited in the beginning to find their company and thought I'd found the perfect solution to all my kids' birthday parties, however after being treated so poorly and disrespectfully at the first sign of a problem, I will never use this company again. If I were Clown's Unlimited I would certainly look at Julia as a detriment in representing my company. Had she been more professional and courteous (not to mention honest in the beginning!), I probably would still be a customer despite the rain. If you're planning for perfect weather weeks in advance then you'll probably be fine, but if you can't predict sun in Oregon, look somewhere else. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE is the bottom line with this company. more
