Poured my back patio slab. Even though we were HOME the day it was poured, he STILL did not put the rebar in that we requested. We were told we had to ""eat that one"" because it was too late when we walked outside and asked the question (for the 3rd time that day). Cement has wavy edges, but that is just cosmetic. What is really bad is that too much sand was laid, and unevenly, so that my supposed-to-be 4-inch slab is really a whopping 2 inches in many areas. Can't wait for that to crack and expand this summer!!! Especially when the metal grate under the cement is supposed to be touching the cement, but no our slab is just sitting on top of the metal grate. Not connected. so if it cracks, it will look like broken up icebergs in my yard. I have to have the whole thing jackhammered up and hauled away. What an EXPENSIVE waste of time! STAY AWAY!
