Clews Horse Ranch

Christian Clews is not honest. He is not returning my deposit of $400 and is not returning my calls nor emails. It has been over a month. I have investigated Mr. Clews and have found that he has more than 30 civil suits that have been filed against him!! Do not consider even using this facility more

The owner has the worst reputation in the business and having boarded there, I can say he certainly deserves it all! Actually heard him make a totally inappropriate sexual remark to a young woman who works for him. He is indifferent to his boarders at best; many of the stalls are not cleaned until afternoon and there are more flies buzzing around than anywhere I've ever boarded. On top of that, he underfeeds the horses. I think he thinks that all of the boarders are lucky to be there and why people put up with him, I have no idea. more

I've been in the horse business in San Diego for over 30 years, and have known Mr. Clews since he was young.\r I have never kept my horses on his property - nor would I - but I have been to his ranch on business. \r The sad incident involving the mare that is described in the first review is true, and is no secret among horse people in San Diego. No one was surprised when they heard where it happened.\r There are many nice boarding and training facilities throughout San Diego county, with wonderful reputations. This place is not one of them, because of the owner.\r I am writing this review to support what the first reviewer stated. Owner is a fat pig that harasses young girls. Bring your 15 year old daughters here if you want then to have their body and mind devirginized. Owner also likes to feed low grade hay while keeping himself and his own horses nice and fat. He shoots horses in front of other horses instead of leading them somewhere else. The owner also likes to get drunk and harass all the women at the ranch regardless of marriage or not. He makes women feel uncomfortable. Several mares were sodomized by an illegal he had living on his property and are no longer able to be bred. Even though the owners live within a number of feet no one heard a thing. Sounds like an observant bunch to me! The owner will have inappropriate relations with underage girls when given the slightest opportunity. Go board at this ranch, if you'd like to regret it for the rest of your life. Cons: Everything about the ranch. more
