I PURCHASED MY ENTIRE HOUSE OF BLINDS, DRAPES FROM THIS COMPANY. HAD A LIFE TIME WARANTY. MY BLINDS WILL NOT WORK AND I CALLED THEM. THEY SAID THEY NO LONGER DID THE WARANTY BUT WOULD HAVE SOMEONE CALL ME. THE COST TO ME WOULD BE $65 FOR INITIAL VISIT. I SAID OK THEN THEY TOLD ME THIS PERSON ONLY GOMES TO MY AREA ON MONDAY SO WE SET UP A MONDAY.THEY WOULD HAVE THEM CALL ME THE DAY BEFORE ONLY NO ONE EVER CALLED OR SHOWED UP. COMPANY WILL DO NOTHING. more

I am a repeat customer and I had a wonderful experience. I previously bought blinds from the old ownership of Clermont Decorating and Blinds and was pleasantly surprised at the excellent service I received with the new staff. Everything was explained to me thoroughly and I was once again very happy with my blinds. No need to go anywhere else! more

I have purchased Blinds from Clermont Decorating and Blinds for my two homes in Clermont last year. I am actually appalled at the previous comments because I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with this company. If you read your Hunter Douglas warranty(Because I read it) it clearly states that the lifetime warranty kicks in once the blind has reached the Hunter Douglas center!! The warranty covers the actual repair!! If you need your car repaired then YOU take it to the repair shop! It's the same concept! The warranty states this just read it! lol The repair is free! This is what the warranty covers. If your blind needs repaired then you must pay the shipping to get it to the repair center or get it to your Clermont Dealer pay them the shipping and they will ship it to Hunter Douglas who will repair your blind. more

Had verticals installed by this company about 5 yrs. ago. Was told there was a lifetime warranty on the blinds. Now one of the blinds is not closing or opening properly and they want to charge me $65 to send someone out. Do not believe anything they say!! They will find a way to get out of any warranty offered. Cons: Will not honor warranty! more

I purchased my Hunter Douglas window treatments over five years ago. One of the deciding factors of my choosing Hunter Douglas and Clermont Blinds was the Lifetime Warranty and the quality of the product. Be very careful of this new company. Clermont BLINDS & Decorating does not exist any more but is rather now named Clermont DECORATING & Blinds. They switched the two words and voila...new company. Check the website Sunbiz, The Florida Dept of State, Division of Corporations doen't even list Clermont Blinds and Decorating anymore. This new entity was established March 24, 2008. Here's the kicker, this new entity is operating out of the same address, same phone number but is NOT honoring the warranty of ANY products sold prior to this new entity being formed. You must deal with the manufacturer directly. Seems kind of fraudulent but it is legal as far as business is concerned. Be very careful when dealing with this company. I was a very satisfied customer of this company in the past. I just called for service because my Hunter Douglas blinds have once again broken (defective), and was informed that they are under new management and can't help me. Hunter Douglas offers a lifetime warranty, and she grudgingly offered to ship them back, but I'd have to remove them (easier said than done) and bring them back to her.
