Well it's a classic tradition in Covina... we used to work at the Black Angus down the street from here when we were younger and North Woods Inn was a ""treat"" for us. The menu is expensive but we just come for the cheese bread, blue cheese salad and the baked potatoes!! Yes, they still serve you roasted peanuts that you can just toss the shells on the floor, which is already completely covered with sawdust and shells... I'm wondering how often do they clean their floors??? -- just my own thoughts to ponder. Never mInd me :)
I don't believe they take reservations and if you are coming with a large party they will not seat you until all guests have arrived so BE AWARE and the waits can be long on the weekends. Parking is out back and plenty of it. We sat in a room where their was naked art work... female bodies nude that is. The people I was with didn't care but hmmm what to tell the children while they are eating their salad and look up to ladies *ahem cough* naked Ta Ta's illuminated behind them? Anyhoo as I was saying menu expensive, selection - plenty to choose from by way of Seafood, Beef and Chicken and everyone I heard around me (our table didn't order the Beef) raved about the steaks so I guess that's a good thing. They served sherbet for my friends birthday and sang to her in a ROBUST manner all is still good at the North Woods Inn.
Bar prices were moderate and mugs were tall and MANLY!
