Faster than other Internet Provider 11/25/2010

Clear seems noticeably faster than our Earthlink DSL, and the connection has been completely reliable so far. Earthlink's connection had been failing to recognize our computers every time, finally the connection went away entirely, and then the company wanted us to pay for shipping and to commit to one year more of service to replace a faulty modem. I had been their customer for more than 14 years. I'm very pleased with Clear so far, and we get way more phone features than we did with AT&T, and for $14 less a month. more

Cancelled my Clear 11/23/2010

I just canceled my Clear service for the same reasons that Lani mentions. Since I work on the Internet all day, I CAN?T lose internet when a butterfly passes by. And I?m supposedly surrounded by two towers. Lani: I called EVERY DAY and complained about my speed until they finally let me out of my contract. more

no latency 11/23/2010

No latency problems at all. I was on a Video chat today using Clear internet service for nearly 2 hours with nary a problem. I was sitting on the patio and called my wife via Skype afterwards, again, no problem. more

slowing connection 11/17/2010

Clear internet services' only downside is that they seem to drop your connection about once every couple of days or so, but that's about it. Ping times aren't the best in the world, but hover around 70-100ms, so I can't complain too much. I'm not a gamer, so I can live with 1/10th of a second lag. more

one renews their lame contracts 11/8/2010

Clearwire sucks. I has them on a year contract. They don?t invest in quality so I hope they file bankruptcy once they realize that no one renews their lame contracts. I don?t even know why the modem has 5 bars. I lives in the city and the modem only used the first two bars, nothing more! more

Clear is an excellent option for providing broadband Internet service at home or away from home. I'm using the home version of the Clear modem as I write this, and have been very happy with the quality of the service and extreme ease of setup?I used the mobile connection in several locations across the Las Vegas Valley, including an area in the farthest southeast corner. The signal was consistently strong, with speeds at 4 megabits per second and higher. I watched online video and uploaded pictures to photo sharing sites easily. more

Clear - bad intenet service 11/2/2010

Bad Service Wast of taking Clear Internet service Sales guy told me that clear is providing 6mg for $35, and give me the service after taking the service tested the download speed is less then 1 MBPS, I called customer care but no use and wasted my time in finally cancelled the service. more

So far thumbs up 10/27/2010

I just started using the service last night. I bought it because I live in the Philly area and travel to Atlanta, LV and silicon valley area. So it worked out fine. I am on a month-to-month and the cost is $40 (after the promotional period). I got the modem last night in my room in Santa Clara and got the device up and running. And you know what? It worked flawlessly in SC. The coverage map doesn't show it, but its much better than the hotel provided internet service. Any ideas why or who's service I am using? Speedtest shows 1MB up, 2MB down -- good enough for email and basic web. So far thumbs up, but I'll report back after I give it a good go while traveling. more
