I am using a Clear mobile usb modem right now and it rocks. I bought the $40 a month high speed deal. Month to month , no contract. Easy Easy Easy. I think it can be particular about where you are in room or whatever. Kind of like a cell phone. more

I just canceled my Clear service for the same reasons that Lani mentions. Since I work on the Internet all day, I CAN?T lose internet when a butterfly passes by. And I?m supposedly surrounded by two towers. Lani: I called EVERY DAY and complained about my speed until they finally let me out of my contract. more

This is my fourth broadband provider in Houston in 10 years (after DSL and Cable subscriptions). I chose Clear internet service Get One: Home package for $40.00 monthly (final monthly cost, including $4.99 modem lease + tax, $46.40). Modem is M series. Speed marketed at 6.0 Mbps downloads and 1.0 Mbps uploads. Tests indicate speeds are consistent. Nice! more

Clear internet service is the best wireless service I've ever had. Compared to Verizon (3g), Sprint (4g) and Cricket (3g), Clearwire's 4g blows them away. more

A couple of years ago I used Clearwire for personal use since highspeed internet was not available in the area surround Killeen. The coverage and speeds were good at the time and comparable to DSL and cable. However, their business practices regarding contracts were horrendous. more

I was able to watch True Blood online last night since I don't have HBO at the new place. I'm just happy that I'm no longer with Comcast and my home internet is now faster than my cell phone!!! more

Clearwire sucks. I has them on a year contract. They don?t invest in quality so I hope they file bankruptcy once they realize that no one renews their lame contracts. I don?t even know why the modem has 5 bars. I lives in the city and the modem only used the first two bars, nothing more! more

First let me say I don't work for any company that is with Clear in any way. I am a real user. The service is great for those who are in the service areas and it is a threat to the cable people. You can get a home modem and a laptop modem for travel in a sweet low priced deal. Its a two for one. The speeds are not near 6mb but are steady at 3+. Its enough to do anything fast. Its truly cap free on the home side. They may throttle you down if your a movie buff or torrent junkie. If you do gigs a day in downloads everyday expect a throttle back to wake you up. Still beats Comcast 250gb cap. Remember you will here more from the bad than the good. As with any service you need to do some footwork to see if you can cash in on this. Its really all about where you are. As the towers go up in numbers the signals improve. The IP address is private and this can affect certain uses. Port 80 seems blocked and email clients may not work. I have yet to loose connection in a month of use. more
