I have Clearwire in Jacksonville, FL and it simply does not work most of the time. I can't even browse ebay! It is literally as slow or slower than a dial up connection and Clearw...

3G internet speed 11/26/2010

When it comes to maximum download speeds, Clear blows conventional 3G Internet service out of the water. The 3.0 Mbps benchmark speeds and 350 Kbps we managed to pull with torrent files in areas of excellent signal trump anything you can do with a piddly 3G card. more

Slow! 11/23/2010

My clear is so slow I checked 4g coverage before buying I have 4g but when I try to watch a vid it keep stopping thank god I did not get the contract deal my cell phone broadband was faster than this. more

The iMac speedtests were conducted with an ethernet connection. Wireless speeds on my antique network are running around 5Mbps. Clear internet service is a great company! Keep it up! more

They don’t invest in quality 11/7/2010

Clearwire sucks. I has them on a year contract. They don’t invest in quality so I hope they file bankruptcy once they realize that no one renews their lame contracts. I don’t even know why the modem has 5 bars. I lives in the city and the modem only used the first two bars, nothing more! more

excellent option for home internet - CLEAR 11/3/2010

Clear is an excellent option for providing broadband Internet service at home or away from home. I'm using the home version of the Clear modem as I write this, and have been very happy with the quality of the service and extreme ease of setup…I used the mobile connection in several locations across the Las Vegas Valley, including an area in the farthest southeast corner. The signal was consistently strong, with speeds at 4 megabits per second and higher. I watched online video and uploaded pictures to photo sharing sites easily. more

Very Bad Service 11/2/2010

I’ve been a clearwire user for almost two years, thank god it’s almost over, HORRIBLE service, and of course you gotta love yur internet being throttled….wow I love that feature. On xbox live alone it’s like operating on a 56k modem. Simply amazing, can’t even stream properly on youtube. I’m very fluent in computer hardware/networking, and this is by far the most horrible ISP on earth. The only good thing is their VOIP service, which isn’t all that bad…unlimited local and long distance can’t get any better, and that’s hard to find. but even then that goes out from time to time. more

Thank you Clear 10/29/2010

My roommates and I got Clear about three months ago and were given a bad modem, sent it back and got a brand spanking new one with full lights so perfect connection. We have two laptops, a desktop, PS3 and Xbox all hooked up to the Wi-fi or direct to modem. We can play on line, BOTH consoles, us a torrent to download a movie and have another person stream from Hulu without lag...think we'll be keeping the service! Thank you Clear for making it so we don't have to deal with Cox. more
