I ordered Clear Home phone and just found out that it does not work with Security monitoring system. Be careful and do your homework like I should have.

I've used clear for a few months now and have been really happy. I live in close-in SW and usually have 4 lights on modem. I gladly pay for the 6 Mb service, since it's the same price I was paying Qwest for 1.6 Mb. The past 1.5 weeks, though, I have been losing my signal pretty frequently (sometimes 4-5 times per hour) and my modem starts ""scrolling"" looking for a signal for about 3 minutes. It's like there's some sort of intermittent interference coming from somewhere. more

10+Mbps speed test 11/25/2010

I am in Seattle, and I use Clear as a mobile internet for my laptop. I regularly get 10+ Mbps on speedtest sites, and I haven?t experienced much in the way of bad coverage (outside of a few areas with lots of hills and valleys). more

I used to use ""other"" internet providers but then I tried CLEAR and was blown away by the excellent service as well as the value! I will never switch back. It?s a CLEAR choice who to go with!!! more

latencies are somewhat bad 11/18/2010

Clear internet service has great speed, but the latency is a little bad. I can only play MMORPGs, FPSs are semi-playable. When I Googled to see why Clear has such bad ping, some traced a packet sent from their computers to Google and found out that if you live in Washington DC (like me), or anywhere else on the east coast, it sends it all the way to Washington state before it gets to Google! Bottom line, Clear has great speed and service but the latencies are kind of bad. more

not worth it at all 11/6/2010

It's not worth it at all. You're talking about a spotty service that runs on WiMAX which will be obsolete within a couple of years. So best bet is to just go with 3G until LTE springs on Verizon or AT&T. That or get FiOS if it's for home use. FiOS is the best QoS money can buy (in this area). Keep in mind, they suck as far as customer service goes...but their speed and connections are bar none here. more

Clearwire costs MORE than my current Bellsouth DSL and it's 11/2/2010

I checked online today and Clearwire costs MORE than my current Bellsouth DSL and it's also slower. Cheapest price for Clearwire was $55 monthly plus $5.99 for the modem. That's NOT a good deal. more

I have been using Clear at home for over a month with no problem. Clear has been the first telecom I have used that gave me no B.S. or bait and switch. more
