I ordered Clear Home phone and just found out that it does not work with Security monitoring system. Be careful and do your homework like I should have.

It has very bad service here in Jacksonville and they lock you into a two year contract. You have 10 days to try it and if you are 1 minute past that you are stuck. Customer service is terrible. I am shocked he would recommend this service. I would stay away from them if I were looking for a new iSP more

I am currently with Clear internet service for a month and I took the $60 a month price. I love the service because I can use my mobile phone to check emails. The speed is quite not bad and I have not experienced sudden disconnection . Nice server! more

No problems with CLEAR 11/3/2010

Unlike a few of the other posters I never had a problem with having a signal. I am literally across the street from the water tower they use to broadcast the signal, 30 yards from the tower at the very most. Everything went fine with them for the first 14 days of service with them when they offered the money back guarantee however less then a week following the time when I could have gotten a refund I started suffering major download speed issues. more

If I could rate them a zero I would! This was the worst customer service I have received. I call to get new service and asked them to put it under my name but instead they put it under my husband?s name. So I called to disconnect it and they offered me a one week trial. Well it turns out the free trial was not a free trial! So I tried to cancel again and they said my package was accidentally sent to the wrong address so as soon as the found it they would refund some of my money because the 10 bucks they charged me for the ""free"" shipping is not refundable. It's being a month now and they still haven't received the package. I called FedEx and they said that clear had already received the package. I wish I would have avoided doing business with them. more

Clear is a winner in speed and price 10/29/2010

Is Clear cheaper than DSL or cable? That's a simple question, without a simple answer. The phone and cable companies offer bundles for customers who order other services. That lowers their price. And all the companies offer various speeds, at various prices, so there's no easy way to compare. In general, Clear's home service appears to be marginally cheaper than faster cable service from Verizon or Comcast, and a little faster than comparably priced DSL plans from Qwest. But Clear is not a bargain. To be fair, that's not Clearwire's pitch: Mobility is. And on that front, Clear is a winner in speed and price, though a laggard in range. more
