As a cautious consumer and mommy, I love the concept of clean flix taking movies and editing out some of the language, violence, and sex. However, I saw their version of Saving Private Ryan and was shocked by how much raw violence was still in the show ( I have a weak stomach).
On the other hand, as a lover of the arts, I am wary of the idea of censuring a person's work without the artist's input.
Regardless, Clean Flix requires that its customers have a current membership (starting at around $30 a year) to rent edited movies. This in and of itself is hard embrace when you can get memberships to Blockbuster or Hollywood for free or wait a couple years for the movies to be edited and shown on TV. Really, I could take or leave this place.
