here is just one write up from another person, and the same thing happened to me.\r
Last month, after years of deleting the junk emails from Classmates com, I decided to take a look, since they promised there were hundreds of classmates from 1974 who graduated from Southbury High School. I found the name of my 9th and 10th grade best friend, and joined Classmates in order to email her! We did get together, and it was wonderful, and she's even still here in CT, blah blah blah. \r

HOWEVER, when I got my Visa bill, there was not only the charge from Classmates Online Inc. for $59 for a 2 year subscription, but an unknown charge for $19.95 from ""AP9 HOMESAVINGSMALL-V 800-544-1528 CT"" with a posting date of 10 days after I signed up with Classmates. Not recognizing the name, and being a very watchful consumer, I called the 800 number to ask what it was.\r
\r
On 9/23/08, I called them and I was informed by ""Lisa"" whose ID #16503 that it was a ""service"" that I signed up with when I signed up with Classmates and that I had 10 days to cancel after signing up [never knew I had signed up!]. Since I knew I had only signed up for the Classmates thing, and nothing else, I insisted she remove the charge from my bill. I was, in fact, credited on 9/25/08. (whew)\r

My watchdog issue is that who knows how many other folks have joined Classmates (I'm sure there are thousands across the country!) that didn't notice this innocuous $19.95 charge! I never clicked on anything other than joining Classmates, never selected additional services (I actually don't even know what the additional service was and didn't ask her - I just wanted my account credited).\r

Cons: automatic charges your account. better watch them
