Fantastic job Doug and Colin 10/28/2008

Doug was my photographer this September, and he and his assitant did a really fantastic job. They took 1000 pictures (I think more, but that is what was on the website.) The formals were great and the candid work was so creative. I was really impressed with the variety of looks that he gave us. He has obviously done this for a long time. He was funny, efficient, and very, very artistic. Thanks Doug (and Colin), you did a great job Pros: super job Cons: everything was great more

fabulous work 9/24/2008

I used Doug Clark for my wedding this September and he was fabulous. His people skills were great. His pictures were creative and showed great artistry. I like his pont of view and his many different perspectives. I work in graphic design so I recognize how challenging it can be to get artsy at a wedding. He handled all the many family groups and all of the candid situation so well. His finished product was amazing. I liked his pricing, too-especially the photo cd that came with the package. Fabulous!!!!! Pros: great job Cons: great job more

Terrific 9/17/2008

I used Doug Clark as my photographer this August and all I can say is that he is a terrific photographer and his pictures were great. I got so many photogrpahs, too-over 900 in a 5 hour wedding and reception. I wanted a lot of group photos and he was awesome about making sure I got every one. His candid stuff rocks, too. He got lots of cool angles and lots of memorable shots of the ceremony and reception. My picture were on line before I got back from my honeymoon, too. I thought his prices were the best I ran across. Thanks Doug!!!! Pros: great job Cons: too many to choose from :) more

Out of town and thrilled 9/4/2008

I am not from Kansas City, so my search for a photographer began on-line. i reviewed hundreds of sites for quality of work, price, and creativity. I narrowed my search to about 15 studios, and I interviewed every one of them. My choice was Doug Clark of Clark Photography, and I have not regretted my decision. First, his prices are unbeatable. But a great price without great work is nothing. I was impressed by the work I saw at his interview , and I LOVED the work he produced at our wedding. it was creative, to say the least. But it was more, too. The post production work enhanced an already great product. I am a photographer, so I work in PhotoShop myself. Selective color, sepia tone, b/w and more made already interesting images really so,ething special. I could have spent $1000's more and not received the kind of work Doug provided at our wedding. He also made reviewing and making the awesome album that we received a breeze. All in all, we made a great choice to have doug photograph our wedding. Pros: Awesome work, great customer service more

great photographer 8/8/2008

We used Clark Photography for our wedding this spring, and we were pleased. Doug was very professional and was great at handleing our groups-which were something of a challenge. He was also very hard working and seemed to be all over the place capturing events. When we got our pictures, we were thrilled with the creativity and photo-journalistic approach that he has used. Interesting angles, lighting. and perpectives all made the photographs outstanding. We found his pricing unbeatable, and he was fun to work with. Pros: creative, great prices, great with people Cons: None. He did a great job more

great photos 8/6/2008

Mr. Clark was a teacher of mine and he also photographed my wedding. I went to school with his son brendan, who also works in the business. They both do awesome work. Mr. C took over 1200 photos at my wedding. He was all over the place capturing our special day. I was very pleased with his work, and I love the album they put together for me. He has photographed about 5 of my friends wedding and I have seen all of the pictures, and they are great. he has a great eye and a creative style, plus he works very hard at the weddings. His packages are awesome, and he does great work. Pros: very creative, lots of pictures to choose from Cons: none. They are awesome more

Worst Ever! 6/29/2008

If I could give them 0 stars, I would but its not a choice. I can't even begin to explain how Clark Photography ruined my wedding day. I guess its not fair to say they ruined it because it really was the happiest day of my life, but in no way do I have satisfactory photos to prove this. Brenden was late to my wedding so I don't have any pictures of me or the groom getting ready and we were rushed thru all other pictures that were taken before the service. He was very uncooperative and had no artistic insight. He didn't pay attention to the backgrounds and I don't have a single picture that was retouched or cropped. I have 5 of 450 pictures taken that I truly love. We ended up adding an additional hour on to the package so we could get more pictures of the reception. Brenden stood in one place and I have 30 pictures of the same person dancing. I don't have any pictures of the details of the day like table arrangements, rings, dress, NOTHING! The groom and I have 11 pictures of the two of us together. I would never recommend Brenden to anyone. I am not sure about Doug because I didn't use him but someone that lets their son work for them and give out crappy work doesn't have a of standing in my book. These pictures were suppose to capture moments from the happiest day of my life and instead of pictures of the same guest dancing, limbs cut off and bad lighting. It truly broke my heart when I looked at my wedding pictures for the first time and thats a day that I will never get back. Pros: Cant think of any Cons: Everything more

So Disappointed 3/14/2008

I bought a wedding package in the amount of $1,075.00 which was for 7 hours of photography that included 150 retouched 4x6?s, a copyright CD and an engagement session. I got ripped off. There are 361 pictures that were provided to me, of which only maybe 50 are perfect and useable. My dress is cutoff, my dress looses its detail and looks like a white blob, the lighting is bad, the background is mostly in every picture, plus I don't even have pictures of the recessional line, the groom with the ring bearer and much more. I confronted Doug Clark Photographic, Inc. d/b/a Clark Photography and they said they thought the pictures were good and didn't even apologize or try making things better. I asked for a refund too since what I contracted for was not completed, however, I was not awarded one. I did not get all of the images on a CD and none of the photos were edited. They printed photographs with red eye and did not crop any of the photos. When I asked for the photos to be retouched, they claimed that they could not retouch the images?that?s because the photos were so bad in the first place that you cannot fix them. I'm totally disappointed and I would never refer Clark Photography (Doug Clark, Father, and Brendan Clark, Son) to anyone. My lesson learned is always get a referral from someone you know. Pros: I have 50 good pictures. Cons: Everything else was bad. more
