Clark Feed & Seed

I have been a customer of Clarks since i was able to make a dollar. Their expertise in fish and pet foods and supplies is unyielding. anyone who has had a bad experience with this establishment more than likely instigated a comfrontaion and didnt like the reaction of a business that has a loyale following of animal health nuts. more

I found the folks at Clark's to be very friendly and helpful. Travis greets me by name when I come in and this is just after a few months of buying cat food there. I buy Wellness cat food by the case and Travis makes sure they have a case for me of the flavor I buy. All of the employees are friendly and help me carry my purchases out to my car. more

When the people at Clark Feed and Seed don't completely ignore you, they are very pushy. They try to coerce you into purchasing products and are very rude when you ask questions. Additionally, they gave horrible advice that ended up making my dog ill. In an effort to ""buy local,"" I decided to give them another try even though my vet suggested I shop somewhere else. Tonight, I showed up 15 minutes prior to their closing. They had already pulled all merchandise in from the sidewalk and stacked it in all aisles in the store. I asked one of the clerks if they were open and they said ""sort of - if you can reach it."" In order to get a bag of dog food, I had to move several large dog crates and then climb over multiple scratching posts. Nobody offered to help. I then asked if I could purchase some bully sticks from them. They informed me that they couldn't be reached because they would have to move some fish tanks and that was too big of a bother. They told me to come back other day! The people who work here are rude, arrogant, pushy, and unknowledgable. I will shop online and drive to Petsmart before I ever return to Clark Feed & Seed. Don't shop here if you value your time and love your pet! more

I will never go to Clark's Feed and Seed again. We purchased some fish pellets following one of the staff's recommendation. As it turns out the pellets were too large for our fish to consume. Since it was open, I returned to the store and asked the owner, Larry Oltmann, if we could get partial credit towards a smaller pellet. If he would have said no, I would have gladly accepted that. Instead he returned my money and told me to NEVER come into his store again. This was very upsetting and unfortunate. Pros: Staff are great people Cons: Owner treated us terrible more

I LOVE hamster and I really want to take care of them. SO I went to Clarks and bought another cage for my hamsters. (Also, they have GREAT prices.) I got home and put it together. I noticed that it hadn't come with a drikning bottle. So, I went back told them what happened. And they gave me a water bottle for my hamster. I also bought some bedding, and they gave me advice about the bedding. Pros: Great service, they care! Cons: No cons more

I'm not sure what REALLY happened for another bad review I read, but the owner has been very kind and helpful with all sorts of aquarium problems I've had - all of course of my own creation. I have had aquariums for 20 years and know my stuff, but their staff are the best in town and really know what they're talking about. I have learned new things from them that have made my aquariums more stable. I get frustrated with customers I see in their store, when the staff are patient and helpful. Larry Oltmann the owner is extremely rude and has no sense of customer service. When I returned an item that was recommended by one of their employees he insisted that his employee would not have recommended the product and then told me I was not a responsible customer and refused to sell me anymore products. So much for customer relations! Pros: Good selection. Cons: Rude and insulting owner. more
