I purchased a used washer and dryer from a nice lady who said they were 5-6 years old, and she demonstrated that they worked. When I took them home and hooked them up the washer shook violently and made a terrible noise. I called the woman (Mary) to complain after having a service technician give me an estimate for $140 to repair. Mary promised to pay for the repairs to the dryer she knew was broken. When I looked up her address, I was directed to this site where I discovered that her family own CITY WIDE APPLIANCE REPAIR! The service technician told me the set was 10-12 years old. She never paid for the repairs! This is not a reputable company!!!! more

NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY!! 10/28/2011

I purchased a washer and dryer from a nice couple who demonstrated both as working fine. I paid full asking price, but when I got them home the washer shook violently and made lots of noise. I called a repair company to look at it and received an estimate for $140 to repair it. After telling the seller about it she promised to "make good" and pay for my repairs, but never did. I had to find her address, and was directed to this website where I discovered that they own "City Wide Appliance Repair". If my washer is an indication of how they "repair" appliances then they are a company to avoid, but worse than that they sold me appliances they knew were broken under the guise of being a nice honest homeowners!! BEWARE,THESE ARE NOT REPUTABLE PEOPLE! more

Very responsible and does over and above 9/22/2011

Ron is one of those rare servicemen who won't just come in, and take the easy route of telling you that you need a whole new appliance. He takes time to figure out what the problem is, he doesn't put the fear of God into you that the appliance is so outdated that he wouldn't be able to find you the parts so you should consider just purchasing new...he KNOWS how to fix it and he isn't guessing. I trust him to do all our service for our appliances because he is honest and takes time to fix it. HIs wife, Mary, called me when the part was on back order but even though Ron was in the hospital for a bad back, when he was discharged,they came out to do the work. My stove works better than whenit was new. more

Terrible service 8/8/2011

Not only did Ron not fix the under the counter frig, but he would not provide the name of the part that he supposedly ordered on-line and was having so much difficulty finding. His assistant told me that he doesn't want to do the job. What?? I paid for a service call and a diagnosis and wasted $60. I'm no further ahead than before I called him and am out $60. lousy way to do business. Would not recommend this outfit at all. more
