Customer service. The people that work the floor to help people are never helpful until you search them down and ask for help and then you are lucky to just get a finger pointed toward what they think you are looking for. I go there for many years now but only for convenience. I have heard them swear#!#!#!# and had them say I can't help you right now. As a woman I struggle through some hardware issues and would like to have someone care. I don't take a lot of their time but they don't want to give customers any. Need some real customer service training. more

I'm going to put this into perspective: if you live in Hawaii Kai, this is the best and most convenient home improvement store for miles. For small DIY projects like a leaky toilet or broken door hinge, nothing beats the convenience of a store that takes only 5 mins to drive to. That being said, while it is not a small store, the selection is not as wide. They could probably save on rent and decrease their store size while carrying the same amount of merchandise. BUT they are a local business and it's good to support local businesses. Their prices are comparable to the bigger national chains and are in some cases cheaper (like for cinders for the garden). They have a pretty good selection of ready to assemble furniture and home organizing products. more
