This has got to be one of the WORST clinics around. Don't really know where to start, but here's a list: more

My kitty is happy 3/21/2011

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Nealon every since moving to Chicago and I am just so happy with the knowledge and expertise that they have shown in treatment. I have one alpha male baby who is super aggressive and I have always felt like the last few vets treated him callously because he is difficult. City Cat Doctors has treated him tenderly and have been understanding and accomodating... They know how do deal with the alpha male and make them feel more comfortable.\r \r I am happy with the service that this group provides. more

Fabulous cat doctors and very nice! 6/4/2009

My experience with Dr. Anthony was wonderful. She was always nice to my cat and gentle with her. My cat received excellent medical care. When my cat was very ill, they referred me to an excellent animal hospital that could provide around-the-clock care. Pros: Caring doctors and staff, excellent pet medical care more

This is not the place . . . 10/18/2008

Not if you love your pet! I brought my pet to this sorry excuse for a clinic. It was the closest clinic - as it was an emergency. The emphasis was unfortunately much more to do with how the expenses were to be covered opposed to my pet getting emergency treatment. My pet is no longer with us. And, I live, regretting the day, I betrayed her - by trusting this shamful place. more

Dr. Nealon is THE BEST 5/5/2008

What most people don't realize is that pets do become ill and the cost in many instances is very expensive. I have a cat with a chronic illness. Dr. Nealon has worked very hard to insure that he has the latest in treatment protocols to keep him comfy and get him through his flares. She even called Texas A&M University Vet School to speak with a specialist on my cat's behalf. I am convinced that he is getting the best care in Chicago and wouldn't think of going elsewhere. Dr. Nealon is kind, caring and her personality is just right for my cat and me! more

Good Cat hospital 9/21/2007

Well i want to said that my experience at the city cat ( l love the name ) it was very good, My kitty that recently i adopt from ACS he was sneezing, So i took it for his booster shot and also to make sure he wasent getting a cold, Everyone was really friendly from receptionist to the rest of the staff, We saw Dr Anthony she was great and answer all my questions, The technician that take us to the room was very profesional and friendly I think his name was Jose. Pros: great service, great hospital more

STAY AWAY 8/31/2007

This used to be a good place--until 2006. \r \r This place is only interested in one thing, and one thing only: your money. Shameful gouging goes on here. Last year, my cat needed to make two visits within a month. The thieving unprofessional vet tried to charge me 3 times the price of some medicine only 2 weeks later citing a "price change." I made her change it back.\r \r But that's not all. This vet COMPLETELY ignored my concerns and my cat nearly died because of her egregious ignorance. When I took my cat to another vet, it turns out my concerns were correct after all. \r \r A year later, my cat is still alive. Thank God. But it is NO THANKS to this grossly incompetent service. \r \r Stay away unless you want to lose money and/or get rid of your pet! more

too expensive, too quick to diagnose and treat, wouldn't recomend 7/1/2007

The vet was very nice, however this vet office is way over priced. My cat, I thought, had a UTI (urinary tract infection) and it cost me almost $500 to treat and diagnose, however their testing showed that she did not have it. They wanted me to bring my cat back for retesting..... for a UTI she never had. I declined as I thought it was foolish to waste any more money at this vet when I have a perfectly healthy cat. Pros: nice people working in the office and this place was clean Cons: overpriced more

I've Switched to City Cat Doctor! 4/18/2007

Finally vets that listen to their patients' owners, give simple, easy-to-understand options for treatment, and allow the owner to make their own decision. Sometimes very busy office, and I have to wait, but I really like them. Cats rule! more

  • Offering veterinarians services.

We are one of only 12 top veterinary clinics in the entire Chicago Land area.

    We focus on feline health.

A visit to an animal hospital is frequently stressful for a cat although it may appear calm. This is often caused by the presence of dogs. A dog's nose pushing against the screen of the cat's carrying case, dog's odors and / or noisy barking produce great anxiety and can negatively impact a cat's white count and blood sugar level.

Because of the numerous advances in canine and feline medicine, its become difficult for doctors to keep medically current for both species. More and more people prefer feline only clinics. Experts agree that separate clinics for dogs and cats will be standard in the near future.
We focus specifically on feline medicine. We adhere to the standards of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
