Contrary to the last post, I have always found the staff at City Beverage more than willing to accomodate our work group. This place gets packed for dinner, especially outside, where the tables are reserved for people having sit-down dinners (i.e. entrees). This is understandable, given the small size of the restaurant, and the upscale menu. For those people who wish to hang out, enjoy a few appetizers, and have some drinks, there is a section of picnic tables outside, and a lounge inside (no smoking). This is a nice change from the smoky, slow, overpriced Pub across the street. Additionally, the drinks are very strong--so much so that sometimes I have to ask for more mixer!! The 20 beers on tap are a very unique grouping...no boring Miller Lite, etc. I would expect to find a place of this caliber in Manhattan, not the Triangle, but we'll take it!
Pros: strong drinks, fun staff, outdoor patio
Cons: small, can get crowded
