This place is run down, overgrown, and the owner appears to be in poor health. One young lady was working in the back mopping the floor with chlorine bleach. I was coughing and it was taking my breath away. I do not know how the animals in the cages were taking it. She had cages sitting on tables or stands with a small dog in each one. I guess this was to avoid having to bend down to open the cage doors. The runs are gravel, had dog waste in them, and tall weeds. Louise called to complain that our dog was not housebroken. Which this dog is not perfect by any means but she rarely has an accident in the house. It is when we are taking too long getting home to let her out or sleep til noon on a weekend. Louise was hateful and critical of our dog. Our dog is a 4 pound Yorkie and I specifically asked if the facility could handle this type of dog. Louise said they could. Our dog was in the same cage I saw her put into when I came to pick her up. Louise told me the dog is spoiled. I was in a bind to find a kennel reservation for our dog at the last minute to attend an out of town funeral. Our dog was filthy, smelled like vomit, and had dried up tear globs in her fur. I had her groomed the day before I took her to be boarded! I will never ever take any dog of mine there again. They had a pan of poured cat food on the front stoop. The drive way to the place is full of pot holes and the kennel building looks like an abandoned house. The overgrown vegetation, a junk car, and the overall appearance outside is not fit for a family pet. The people who built the nice facility in Giles County tried to build in Montgomery County. I wish they had!
