Awesome 11/29/2005

Haven't been there for awhile, but there use to be one dollar movies nights on Tuesdays. Even though the inside the theater isn't as well maintained compared to other theaters, it's definitely a cheaper place to watch movies. The downside is that the one dollar movies does not apply to newly released movies. more

Love it for the cheap movies 10/4/2005

You can't beat a $3 movie in the bay area! The theatre is usually pretty quiet too and plays older movies that have been out a while. It's a great chance to get out and see a movie in the theatre setting without having to pay $10 and fight the crowds. Also a great way to catch up on some of the films you missed! more

For a cheap date or a day out with the kids 8/2/2005

Living in the Bay Area is expensive and living on one income with kids in the Bay Area is nearly impossible! Luckily, with Cinema Saver, you don't have to give up movies in the theater entirely. Yes, you have to wait, but you have to wait for the DVD to come out too if you are too cheap to go the theater. It's not usually too crowded either and it's a great place to take the kids, because at a few bucks, you don't feel bad if the kids talk because even with the added background noise, other patrons will get their money's worth. If your kids get scared, can't sit still, you don't feel bad for leaving. more

cheapest movie theater 6/22/2005

I love a bargain and this place is it! Compared to rising costs at first run theaters, Cinema saver is great for saving your wallet. Daily prices are $3.50 for a movie, but they often run double features when you can get two for the price of one. Tuesday specials are the best! You can view a movie for a mere $1.50 or two movies if you choose the double feature. But, I think the price may have raised to $2.00 now. Although still a good bargain. The movies they run have already been shown at the first run theaters, so it's worth a visit if you didn't see it the first time around or if you wanna check out some less well-known independent movies. The setting is definitely less ritzy and simple here. more
