My dog suddenly passed out at about 1pm. She was limp and had an altered mental status. I rushed my girl to this ""hospital"" and was told, ""the doctor is busy today. If you want to leave her here, and the doctor can look at her sometime after 7pm. And she may not want to stay, so it may be tomorrow before she is able to look at her. We would have to charge you for an emergency visit, of course."" The woman who was calling herself a vet was standing right behind this girl. I wish I was kidding about what was said. Those are the exact words that I was told. I called them a few choice words as I was exiting. If you need a vet in this area do not patronize these greedy and heartless people. I recently moved to the Katy area, and took two of my dogs to this vet clinic. My Shetland Sheepdog just needed a yearly check and shots. My golden also needed yearly check and shots, but also had a skin infection. And because he is ten years old I have been requesting a senior panel for the last three years. I was shocked when I saw the bill it was $600.00. That seemed ridiculous to me compared to how much I have paid in the past. But the worst part was the vet tech who bent the needle in my golden's neck trying to get a CBC sample, after 3 tries and a bent needle I made her get the vet to do it. They might be quite good but with four dogs I can't afford to pay that much for shots and exams. So I am still looking for a vet. Know any good ones? Pros: Clean office, conveniently located.
