To all the nay sayers I am sorry that you didn't get a warm fuzzy, but I have been using Dr Pitts for over 10 years now and I drive up from Fort Worth, Texas. I wish we had one as good down there, heck I would let him work on me thats how much I trust him. Yes things can go wrong, but he has always been honest and worked with me on anything and everything. Including coming in special hours to meet my schedule, if you need to be coddled then maybe he is not your vet, but I drive 5 hours for his expertise as a surgeon if that tells you anything. more

I adopted my pet a year ago from Stillwater Animal Shelter. I got him on the weekend so the Animal Shelter office was closed but the pets were available for adoption through the Humane Society office. They didn't tell me he was spayed (I'm sure they didn't know) so I tried to take him to a groomer because he was very very dirty (I mean flees EVERYWHERE, and ratted hair) but they told me his stitches were still in his body, (which I noticed then also). Granted, this may be more of a fault of the Animal Shelter, but how can you spay/neuter a dog without it being cleaned first??? That doesn't sound sanitary to me. I know he was neutered and given his rabies shot at Cimarron before I got him so I decided to go there to get his worm pills. A month later I noticed my dog eating grass and his poop had white worms so I took him to Cimarron again. As the woman is about to give my dog the worm pill, I try and tell her "he will just eat it like a treat, he loves anything you give him", she procee more

Cimarron Animal Clinic is Worl Class 9/5/2009

Cimarron Animal Clinic is World Class. It is by far the greatest clinic in Stillwater! The vets, Dr. Schaefer and Dr. Pitts are compassionate, knowledgeable and reasonable. This clinic offers very competitive pricing, possibly the cheapest in town. And in the event of an emergency, like what I experienced, payment plans can be arranged. My puppy came down with parvo and was very sick. I know that Cimarron Animal Clinic saved Pookie! The vets and office staff were great! I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for great service! more

DOG AND CAT KILLERS 7/6/2009

This so called Dr. Pitts, well to some he may be ok but to me and my animals he has not been good at all. HE has killed a show dog and has no compassion for the dog or me. I was given no reason why my dog was dead from an ear crop but I was charged and no pain meds were given for my dog that lived. Even when a friend went back to get the meds he was charged $12.00 dollars and they told him that they would not let me charge it to my account. I was always able to charge on my account before I had a dead dog, and now they say I have to pay in advance. Well Dr. so called Pitts this is the start of a good relationship for me to tell everyone that you are a money hungry no dog loving cat hating man just in it for the money. If you would like a good vet just please!please!please!don't go to this vet. Look around , my dog was very expensive and I don't think, well I know he was very expensive and I know he is not willing to pay for the mistake so just remember every dog has his day. When more

Wonderful care! 5/28/2009

I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have taken my cats to Drs. Pitts and Schafer for 7 years, and when one of my cats had a difficult diagnosis (two different illnesses), the vets would not give up until they found a treatment. I know they did a lot of research to find some obscure meds for Maxwell, and I am so thankful for their willingness to do so, as he is now a healthy 7 year old. When Maxwell was a kitten, I took him and his sister in for a spay/neuter. I then proceeded to have a kidney stone, and they kept the cats at the hospital at no charge until I was home and feeling better. What clinic does that these days?! more

I think they are great 5/2/2009

Fantastic place that takes great care of your pets! 3/12/2009

I have been a client there for almost 3 years now and I have never had a bad experience with any of the staff or veterinarians, they are really great! They took amazing care of each animal I brought in and are very reasonably priced as well. Both Dr. Pitts and Dr. Schaefer are very professional and knowledgeable about both small and large animals and I think that what Dr. Pitts does for the community with his mobile spay/neuter unit is wonderful! I highly recommend this them to everyone I know and then some! more

I am not satisfied with this veterinary clinic in the least. The staff are friendly, but the professionalism of the clinic as a whole is lacking. My two experiences there have been with pets that I adopted from Stillwater Animal Control; perhaps they didn't get the best care because they were 'shelter dogs'. Initially, I went to pick up my first dog after she was spayed and they returned her to me covered in urine. She is roughly a 60lb shepherd mix- the least they could have done was towel wash/dry her to avoid urine scalding. I understand that a complete bath isn't warranted due to an abdominal incision. Secondly, I recently adopted a lab mix that was supposed to be spayed at the clinic this past Friday before I adopted her (the shelter works with this clinic). When I picked her up from the shelter on Saturday they claimed that she had been spayed at Cimarron, but I could not find an incision at all. I called the clinic and their records were sparse, only indicating that the dog had more

I love Cimarron animal clinic. Dr. Pitts is the only Veterinarian in town to offer low cost spays and neuters in his own personal spay and neuter trailer No other veterinarian in town is willing to do that more

These People Truly CARE! 12/11/2008

We were referred to this clinic by a Frenchie breeder, and I cannot say enough good about the staff. Dr. Pitts is not only a deft and knowledgeable surgeon but a caring animal-lover as well. The gals were all helpful, friendly, and caring, as well. more

I have been a client there for over 8 years. I think Dr. Pitts is great and I read the review about how the place smells and that she is still a client there. Im not sure why you would continue to go there especially if you did not even spell the Doctor's name correctly. more

Eh... They're OK 6/30/2008

The smell of the place has gotten atrocious. My sister moved here from Raleigh, NC, in October and I recommended she take her schnauzer there. She was not pleased with Dr. PItt at all. \r \r We take our Jack Russell Terriers there and used to see Dr. Mary but I have heard she has left the practice. I would not recommend Dr. Pitt unless you have large animals.\r \r We are still with them, hope our next visit is better else we will start looking elsewhere too. more
