I recently had my first visit to Chrome and to Keenan. He not only was amazingly accommodating to my last-minute request by seeting me late in the evening, but devoted the type of energy and creativity one might expect first thing in the morning. He listened carefully to what I wanted, and gave me a cut and color that was perfect for my skin color, face shape and lack of available styling time. This is my first review on City Search but i absolutely LOVED the experience i had at Chrome Salon. Melinda did my hair and not only did she tell me what products she used on my hair, she made sure i knew how to use them myself... and my hair came out lookin shiny, and the cut was exactly how i wanted it. The experience itself was great, but what made it even better is that i didn't have to wait to get in the chair, PLUS i was offered a drink (not alcohol, lol)... I also observed how other clients were treated, including walk-ins... it is a friendly environment and the staff is outstanding. Everyone left smiling. Keenan did such a great job on my hair. I walked in there looking like the lion king, and came out looking prettier than ever. He fixed my hair and gave it a good color. I went to another place where they messed up my hair and Keenan dolled me up. I recommend Keenan to anyone. more

I have been going to Chrome salon for a few years now and I love it! I have had Fabulous up do's\r from Berit. Great Cuts & Colors from Roger, Jared & Malinda I think I have had about everyone in that salon\r at one time. I have a crazy schedule and have to hop back and forth sometimes between stylist . But they do\r such a great job my color always matches and they are all so accommodating. In the past at other salons I have had horrible experiences. I have very color resistant coarse frizzy curly hair. But not now thanks to everyone at Chrome. They are so nice they don't push product . They have great products and I do ask\r What they used and if i like it I buy it. They carry top notch product too. This is the coolest salon the music decor the whole package is a great experience I would never go anywhere else. Prices are very reasonable too. We came in to see Berit, thanks to all you wonderful citysearch people. \r The entire staff is awesome, very welcoming... we didn't feel the 'fake' stuff we were starting to get used to.\r \r My daughter had a idea of what she wanted based on her dress. She explained the dress and the look she wanted to Berit and the rest is history. She looked beautiful!!! We had her hair done early in the day, and the prom wasn't until 8pm .. it look just as awesome as it did when got up from Berit's chair.. WE LOVE YOU, BERIT. Pros: Great parking for the meters. Searched for how many years before I found the perfect man to tame my wild, crazy curls??? Too many.\r Total perfectionist. Doesn't try to sell you on anything you don't want. Berit has been doing my hair since she was in beauty school. She is amazing for evening styles. Any event I have I drive an hour each way to have her put my hair up. I know that it will be perfect every time! more

I don't get a chance to get the best facial in LA often...but when I am in LA I always make time for Kenya's amazing facials. Not only does my face feel great but it looks great! More often than not I get comments on how my skin is just glowing after a facial with Kenya! Luv the products too! more

Keenan is so great! I only have time to get my hair cut after work, so the fact that Keenan takes night appointments is a godsend in itself. There was no pressure to hurry the hell up, and he is such a great conversationalist (and has awesome taste in music)! He listened patiently while I explained what I wanted, and then gave some great suggestions and advice. Absolutely loved the end result. Most of the time, I'd rather spend two hours with Fran Dresher talking at me non-stop than having the hair removed form my bikini line. \r \r But Kenya makes me wish the hair grew back weekly. OK, not really, but I do look forward to my appointments with her. \r \r Kenya has that great mix of uber-professionalism meets earth-mother. And nobody can make you feel more comfortable during the wax-on wax-off stages.\r \r I'f you g anywhere else....don't. more

I've been to Kenya twice for a Brazilian. As a guy, I was a little apprehensive about my first appointment. I walked into Chrome Salon in Culver City imagining that everyone was staring at me knowing that I was there for the Full Monty (do guys even do that?). It was as if I showed up for the first day of school in my underwear until . . . Kenya greeted me with a smile. She made me feel instantly at ease. She was totally professional, took me on time, was efficient and pleasant. Kenya has a nice way of keeping you occupied throughout the appointment and the whole thing is over rather quickly. She uses two kinds of wax and really knows what she's doing (not all technicians know how to wax men and I've heard a few horror stories). The discomfort was minimal and I got a great result. As a first timer, she went over the post wax care with me after the treatment (she had some really helpful suggestions). My wife and I love the result (she goes to Chrome too). All of the people I've met at Chrome have been nice and it's a very gender neutral salon--I don't feel like I'm crashing a lady's tea party (you know, it's not the sort of salon with red velvet drapes and pink hearts all over the place). About the best thing I can say to recommend Kenya is that I booked my second appointment on the spot while I was still in the salon following my first one.\r \r Thanks Kenya for making the whole thing so easy. Fantastic Brazilian wax! Kenya was awesome, attentive, professional, and quick. I have had my fair share of waxings and she is by far the best. I'm smooth as a baby's butt and I love it! I have lived all over US but have never been to a spa that has made me feel more comfortable about a facial and about asking questions. Alex is simply amazing. She really cares about taking care of my skin and making suggestions for improving my face at home. She has never pushed me to buy any products; however the organic products that she uses and that are available for purchase have been a life saver for my skin. Kenya is the absolute best. I met her through Queen Bee after an emergency upper and lower leg wax. Kenya was kind enough to squeeze me in. I am hooked and have been going back ever since! Not only does she do a fantastic job, but she really puts you at ease. She is really a rare gem and I have been going back every few weeks since. The facials are also the AMAZING! I got a gift certificate for a facial with Alex. I am a guy and had never had a facial before, but always wanted to try it out. Alex made me feel very comfortable and gave me good product and technique suggestions on how I could improve my skin at home between trips to see her. I have recommended her to some of my friends who have all had similar experiences. I can't recommend her highly enough. more
