I have Melissa as my stylist at Christiaan Salon. Five weeks ago I was desperate..even though I still had damage in my extremely short hair...but I needed the front to be red again. I had tried home color....NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! It so badly damages my hair...I had a miserable summer. So I told Melissa about how much I wanted the red back....she came up with an IDEA....so since some was still damages...what she did was use Elumen hair color. So not to damage what was already bad...she pulled through the healthy hair and...WALLA! IT WAS AND IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL RED I'VE EVER HAD...she knew exactly what I wanted and she gave it to me...sooner than I thought I could. And the haircuts she gives me ..well...I'll just call it ART. I've had so many compliments on the cit and color! And when I left the day she did the red for me...she suggested I get the Elumen shampoo and conditioner. I believe that shampoo was the key to KEEPING IT SO BEAUTIFUL AND VERY RED. you pay for this gorgeous color so I figured...why not try what Melissa suggested...and if you have ever had red color...you know red fades FAST....five weeks later, yesterday she could not believe how red it still was, and I'm not kidding..I've never ever had red stay so vibrant this long!!!! I love this salon and my stylist...very knowledgeable and LISTENS.. more

Getting a facial by Desiree Perez at Christiaan Salon and Day Spa is truly an experience! She demonstrates her technical mastery by providing education on skin care while performing a thorough and most relaxing facial. She not only focuses her attention on your face but decollete area too.She recommended a special offering called a Saian Facial. For a limited time, the facials are only $50.00. I researched the company and was initially skeptical. However, my skepticism quickly turned into an obsession.\r \r After my first facial of a series of 6, I could not believe the amount of detail that goes into one of these facials. Not only do you experience the traditional steps in a facial, but your face is then gently massaged by a handheld galvanic device that opines to tighten and lift your skin... It really did. Before the final steps of gentle cleansing and moisturizing, your face is treated with a pumpkin spice mask that smells uber delicious!\r \r Even if you don't buy into the whole ""non surgical facelift"" theory, which I did see results. There is no salon on the East Coast that will offer a facial of this caliber for $50.00! This facial in Boston would easily be $250.00.\r \r Desiree is also a master at manis and pedis too! more

I have been a regular client at Christiaan Salon for many years, and have experienced and enjoyed many of their services. Since I am physically active, I sometimes experience muscle soreness. Recently, I was recovering from an more serious injury and still feeling muscle tightness. I decided to try a deep tissue massage with Kerry, and it was amazing! Kerry worked through the 'knots' in my tendons, and after one session, I am feeling so much better. Her approach is very professional yet relaxed, and it is clear that she is very knowledgeable and well-trained in her discipline. I also like that she explains the logic behind the therapy. I am definitely coming back for more! more

Amanda has been cutting and styling my hair for years. Before I went to Christiaan Salon, I was never really happy with the way my hair looked. Amanda took the time to help me find a style that worked for my hair type and my busy lifestyle. I have never had so many compliments about my hair! Going to Christiaan Salon and Day Spa was the best decision I ever made! I love the atmosphere. It has an artistic charm and is comfortable and clean. I get my hair cut and highlighted at Christiaan's and Carol is my stylist. Because of her skill and experience I trust her completely. I never have to worry about getting a bad cut or something I didn't want. She gives me exactly the cut I want. I don't mind spending a little more to get what I want. My hair is that important to me and I'm worth it!! more

I recently moved to Providence and was in dire need of a hair cut. I found out about Christiaan Salon's new client discounts and immediately made an appointment. I am so happy I discovered this salon! Great customer service! I highly recommend Amanda as a stylist. She really listens to what you want and is very talented with a pair of scissors. My only hesitation with Christiaan Salon is that it's a little expensive for my taste, and they require you to tip in cash (which is annoying for me because I hardly ever carry cash). more

I haven't lived in Providence for over a year and I still miss this place. Shannon did an awesome job on my hair for at least 2 years and Tasha was great as well. After living in Baltimore for 6 months I was back in Prov for my wedding last October. On top of both ladies doing some juggling to get me in for hair and makeup, I left looking perfect for my big day without having had a trial run. Now I need a haircut, and wish I could just fly back for a day at Christiaan. more

I have been a client of Sacha's for several years. I was referred by a friend years ago and I have been going there ever since. The salon is very clean and the staff is very knowledgeable and professional. They are constantly making updates to the services that they offer in order to keep up with any new hair trends. The main reason that I keep going back is because of the compliments that I am always getting on my hair cuts and color. I always leave the salon looking and feeling great. A salon, like all businesses, has an atmosphere created by the owners and employees. From Bill's beautiful fresh flower window boxes, to refreshments upon entering, Christiaan's is committed to top-notch customer service and client satisfaction. I am a way-beyond middle-aged woman with gray hair. Initially Sheri and currently Carol have served as my stylists and have not only accepted but in fact complimented me on my hair's naturalness. Their cutting and styling skills are exceptional; their manner with clients natural, relaxed and always fun. Quite simply, I adore them. Then, to have your hands (or feet) in the hands of Olga, warm, funny, and the manicurist-pedicurist supreme, is another extraordinary experience. Once every two weeks, I visit Olga and leave with better looking hands and a huge smile on my face. Oh my, we do laugh a lot! And when your face is in the hands of Tasha's competent and gentle hands, your day is complete! Whether massaging the daily stress away or doing an ""archeological"" dig on my pores, Tasha is terrific. My review would not be complete without mention of all the other staff members who I have found to be friendly, professional, and who work dilligently to provide the best service to all clients. I am a 100% fan of Christiaan Salon, with absolutely no reservations to all who read this review. Men too! They all look great when they leave! more

Always leave satisfied with all services i have received at Christiaan Salon and Day Spa, I have been a client for several years now and will not go anywhere else. Worth the drive from Narragansett! I have had the pleasure of having my hair done by Rikki, Carol and Sasha when Laura was out and Since Laura left, Amanda has done a great job with color and cut. thanks Amanda! All the ladies at Christiaans are great. Olga is awesome at manicures and pedicures! thanks Olga! oh and I can't forget Tasha, she too is awesome at waxing eyebrows- she makes your eyebrows look natural, not too thin! I drive in from Massachusetts every five weeks to have Sacha do my color and cut. It's well worth the hour drive! My hair has never looked better. The style holds up all day long. She knows how to cut hair so it grows out nicely and keeps its shape. My color always looks natural, and my hair is nice and healthy. I love Christiaan so much that my mother is now a customer. She drives in from Massachusetts, too! The cost of my cut and color is $95 without tip -- which is a lot less than the $120 without tip that I was paying in Massachusetts (and I'm not talking about Boston, which is much more). And I never found a salon in Massachusetts that consistently gave me a great cut and color like Sacha at Christiaan. This salon is worth an hour on the road and the gas money. You wear your hair every day. Thanks to Christiaan, I never have a bad hair day anymore. 8-) more

This was my first visit to Christiaan. I have been going to a different salon but wasn't too impressed with the salon atmosphere, although the stylist is not bad. When I arrived, I had to wait for a minute because someone was being helped. But someone checked me in and offered me tea right away. Sacha came down to meet me for my hair cut right on time. She was very professional and friendly. I only had a haircut and style but I left Christiaan feeling very satisfied. Cost was a little bit more (not much) than what I used to pay but it was worth it. This is the longest my hair has been in years and she cut and layered quite a bit. I have thin, wavy hair and she blew it out curly beautifully. She informed me what products she used but didn't pressure to buy products. When asked, she also taught me how to blow it out straight. Thanks Sacha and Christiaan. I got my japenese (permanent)Straightening at the Christiaan.Sacha is the hair stylist who did it. Please NEVER EVER get the hair straigtening at the salon.After the treatment I washed my hair and it turned back to curls.I called the salon and they said they are not ready to redo my hair and I need to everytime i wash my hair.This is completeley opposed to the meaning of permanent hair straightening.They charged me the premium rate than compared to boston downtown. I have extremely thick, wavy/curly, nearly impossible hair to cut + style. I've been to every big expensive salon in New York and Miami and have never had as wonderful an experience as I did with Riki at Christiaan. She listened to my questions, worries, hair complaints, etc, and gave me the best haircut I have ever had. It is just as I have wanted it for years...I almost can't believe it. I created an account on Citysearch just to write a review for this salon. The second thrilling surprise was the price...I've paid three times what Riki charged at places like Bumble & Bumble, Woodley & Bunny, etc. for a cut that has gone up into a bun within hours of leaving the salon. I walked through a small wind storm after leaving the appointment and my hair STILL looks awesome. I could not be happier. She is a miracle worker! more

Recently while I was home for the summer I needed a haircut and color desperately! Riki Vieira came to my rescue. She is one of the newest additions to the already awesome cast at Christaan's. I never know what I want when I need to get my hair done. Enter Riki, you automatically know you're in good hands! She puts you at ease with her professionalism, and is just the person you want giving you the next look that hasn't even been in the magazines yet. She is forward thinking but also concerned with what would best work for you. She is by far the best colorist that has EVER touched my hair, she fixed the horrible blond chunks I had in my hair to sweet ""peek a boo"" pieces with a hint of lilac to them. She then proceeded to give me one of the newest TIGI hair cuts but tweaked it to my liking. (I have glasses so my fringe has to be cut a bit shorter.) It was my first time to the christiaan salon. I was a bit anxious about getting my hair cut. I had an appointment for a razor/scissor cut with Riki. She sat me down, we discussed what I needed. She worked diligently and confidantly. She has a great eye for detail and she knew exactly what cut I was looking for. Her techniques are very well thought out and show her dedication to her profession. She stayed focused on me and my cut through the duration. I am very impressed with Riki, and I know that anyone else who experiences a cut/color by her will feel the same. Also, I loved the salon and the look. The girls who work in there were very down to earth and polite. The prices were extreamely reasonable especially for a stylist with the amount of talent and experience as Riki. Thank you! more
