Chris Anthony's Hair Salon

I was pretty disappointed with both of my experiences at Chris Anthony's Salon. My friend made a surprise appointment for me on my birthday a couple of years ago and my stylist was SO rude. She actually made me feel guilty for having to do my hair for my birthday, she didn't even finish blow drying my hair. I left the salon with wet hair. However, that was in the past and I figured it was a fluke. I recently made an appointment for a wash and style for New Years Eve, and once again I was thoroughly disappointed. My stylist didn't even speak to me except for when he expressed how busy the salon was and how he wanted to go home, also commenting to the other stylist in the next chair ""how come we are the only two working on such a busy day?"" Ummm, uncomfortable, just kick me out of the chair why don't you! My style was a hot mess- I could have styled my own hair using a wooden fork, blindfolded with better results. I ended up re-doing my hair as soon as I got home. The price was fair if the service would have been better executed (about $50 for a wash and style.) I would have rather spent a little more and had great hair for New Years Eve. Dolce salon and spa is also in the chandler fashion square center and I have always had great results with them, unfortunately they were fully committed when I called. Chris Anthony's makes you feel like a million bucks! I just had my hair cut and colored for my birthday. Chris (the owner) cut my hair and Karen colored it. I have to tell you...they are both fantastic! I left there with my hair looking better than it has ever looked. My family and friends just loved it! I will definitely be going back. If you haven't been there before...you have to try it. You won't be disappointed. Pros: They make you feel like a million bucks! Cons: Absolutely none! more

A place I'd highly recommend for the atmosphere and the very good stylists they have. I travel a lot, so I have some base of comparison. I was at a level 5 technician, that gave me exactly the hair colour I wanted (rarely happens) and the haircut was done by a level 1 (found out latter) but it was above 99,99% of the stylists I?ve been to in Europe. They both listened to what I wanted, gave me great tips and refused to do me something they considered would damage my hair, even if that meant spending more money in there. I have quite a rebel hair, so usually the process for straightening it out takes 3h in Europe. Nic gave me a great cut and style in a third of that time, style that?s very easy for me to do at home (which doesn?t happen in Europe). Also, I really appreciated they did not try to sell me any of the expensive styling products. Price was very good, around 30-50% less that in a fancy styling centre in Europe (total of 97$ for colouring long hair, wash, cut and style). I do not recommend this Salon for hair cut if the technician is not of a higher level. I went to a level 2 because they praised her highly when I asked for an appointment with a level 5 but she was horrible. A waste of my $40 Pros: upscale Cons: very poor skill level more

Chris Anthony?s is a top notch salon in the phoenix metro. I live near the Chandler Fashion and I descided to take a chance at this place to cut my hair from medium length to a really short length. I had Paula and she is a level 5, very educated. These women go to weekely training if there below a level 2 and if there higher they do monthly. They really do know the trendy styles and have many awesome magazines to help you descide on length, texture and ect. There prices on there Kerastase, and TIGI products I know are not above retail price. They have a website its chrisanthonys. I saw a lot of the color stylist working and those women?s hair turned out awesome. Pros: experts, caring stylist, product lines more

I'm new to the valley, and after having been warned by my neighbor that hair stylists in the greater Phoenix area tended to ""chop"" hair, I was a little trepidatious. But Chris Anthony was close to home, and I'd passed it many times while at Chandler Fashion Center. I made an appointment and I'm so glad I did. The young lady who cut my hair listened carefully, and cut my hair exactly as I requested. She didn't push product, which I appreciated very much, and the price was reasonable. All in all I had a great experience. I'm typically a very fussy customer, and I left feeling very happy with my choice of salon. I will definitely be back! more

I went here for a 5 minute color consult and waited 45 minutes to meet one of their top stylists. She acted like I was bothering her and told me it would be too difficult change my hair color. I was surprised because their web site indicated that she was a Top level 5 technician at top level 5 prices. I guess I expected something more. Cons: Lack of ideas, Attitude, Schedule more

I've never written a review on anything before, but I just couldn't resist. I had an amazing experience at Chris Anthony's. I am new to the area and had to blindly choose a place for my cut and highlight - I chose well! The staff was very friendly and helpful, but not pushy at all. There was a bit of time between my color and cut, so they gave me a deep conditioning treatment and I sat in a room with the lights dimmed and soft music in the background. Beautiful upscale salon with excellent customer service. Prices are reasonable and the staff seems to be very educated on the latest cuts and color. They also sell Kerastase products which I love and are so hard to find! more
