Excellent truffles!!! I love that they are named after women. I love "Patricia", the dark chocolate cone with the spicy chili aftertaste! This place simply has some of the best desserts in town. I also had a frozen hot chocolate there that nearly caused a brain meltdown. The staff is incredibly friendly, the wine list is extensive with dessert wines, and the atmosphere is laid back. more

The Chocolate Room 5/18/2006

This is the best thing on 5th in my humble opinion. Naomi and John, the owners take pride in every little detail in this tiny gem. My husband is addicted to the dark hot chocolate--it might as well be a melted bar it's so rich. I'm a fan of the chocolate sorbet. They also have a nice wine list with sweet wines to pair with your treats. Sit at the bar and watch the chefs work their magic. more

a place to indulge 9/22/2005

The gentrification of Park Slope proceeds, with a dessert-only place like the Chocolate Room. I can't say I stop there often, since it seems like an indulgence, and it's certainly not cheap, but if you're eating on Park Slope's restaurant row (5th Avenue) the Chocolate Room is just down the block. The cake and ice cream and chocolates are first rate, but, again, you're paying for it. more
