First really bad meal here in 17 years. The sauteed scallops tasted ""funky"" (if that's a culinary term). I tried a couple thinking it might be me, but couldn't swallow the next try. The sauce was either bad, or the chef has a very strange palate. The Caesar salad had way too much dressing. The service on the bar side was terrible. After my meal was brought out, service disappeared for the rest of the night (no salt & pepper or 2nd beer for you). I told the manager he needed to try the scallops for himself. He said he would, and graciously took them off my bill without my asking. For years, I've had nothing but great experiences with the seafood - especially the fish specials. I would also stay clear of the fried oysters (over powering batter). The Mai Tai's are the best in Chicago. Despite this experience, I would go back (but definitely not for the sauteed scallops).
Pros: Fish specials
Cons: Sauteed scallops & fried oysters
