if you are a person who likes to do crafts such as knitting, crocheting, or any other needle craftsl, but does not enjoy having to spend obscene amounts of money for supplies. this is a good place to check out. they have alot of yarn, knitting needles, sewing needles, thread, buttons, etc. the prices are really cheap. you can get yarn for about three dollars. of course the quality is not that great, but if you are a beginner then it is something you can use to practice with. they also sell other things that you may need around the house for very cheap such as hangers, garbage cans, and other odds and ends. more

Chinatown 25 Cents Store !! well as the name suggests things in these store are priced very very low. i had been to that store when i was in new york, initially i thought that they might not be having a good variety coz of the price they charge. but once inside the store, you will be amazed to see the variety of things they have. you get pretty good showpiece items also. This is one shop definately worth visiting. you never know, you get something you are looking for since long in un beleivable price !! more

They claim that it is a 25 cent store, however, they have very little at 25 cents in fact most of their stuff is over 1 dollar. The stuff that is priced at 25 cents is usually stuff you can get for a dime or less. Personally, I think this store is a ripoff however, once in a while they do have some good deals. more

Wouldn't know it was there 8/15/2005

Walking around Chinatown, you wouldn't realize that there was a 25 cent store. There is a 25 cent sign outside, but it's not that huge. It's hidden near some stairs. A lot of it are cheap things that are made of plastic like the clothes hangers. It's also kind of small, which made it uncomfortable to browse around. There was a lot of cloth, needles, etc. I guess you should go there if you are on a tight budget though. more

Look Closely 8/13/2005

Even though, it's such a small store, and the outside is so small, many people know where this is. Maybe it's because of the huge 25 cents sign on the front. You go in, but you realized you've been fooled, it's not a 25 cents store. Well, it's just that some things are... small things, like needles and thread. But they also have yarn and cloth and tile like things. So it's sort of like one of those much needed stores in the area kind of thing because you can't really find a store that specializes in this area around here. more

my grandma buys lots of fabric from them for sewing and all. it is a nice little store off of elizabeth st. i don't actually see to many items that are 25 cents like the stores actual name. oh well. it is not really that imporatant. the store is nice if you are looking for fabrics of many different types. drop by and take a look. more
