China Boat is a Mandarin-Szechwan Chinese restaurant located off Lower Honoapiilani Highway in Honokowai on the island of Maui. I used to go to family dinners at China Boat, which was a great place for a quiet, upscale dinner served family style. My favorite dish was their spicy fish, which was a deep fried local fish with a tangy sauce.
Several years ago, new owners took over and the quality seemed to go a bit downhill. The food was still good, but it lost some of the edge that the previous chef somehow added.
